I'd point out, the mother is the one who did the dragging. One, she is
the one who released the statement. Two, if she didn't know she should
have known, that this would come out.

Should Obama clear up his supposed ties to the Communist Party of the
USA? He has ties to members of that organization.

If he was a member of the Communist Party, I would surely want
clarification. As it is, his only "ties" are that he sat on a committee
with a communist. As it turns out, Palin's ties to the AIP are not
tenuous, she was a member. That doesn't disqualify her, but some
clarification would be helpful. As I have said, I'm not sure I'd want a
secessionist as President.

According to news sources it was well known in their home town, already.
Just making sure the lefty blogs get the story straight.

There you go again, confusing poor little BAR, known to his friend as
Bertbrain.

You haven't figured out yet that no matter the misdeeds of the
Republicans, there are posters here like BAR, Herring, Reggie, et al,
who will post a rationalization? :)

I thought I was in the Bozo Bin?

Well, since this long ago ceased to be a usenet group for discussing
boats, what difference does it make? I mean, are you really that happy
with all of the intellectually based posts from JustWait, Loogy, and the
rest of the no-brains-bunch?

I deleted "sci.military.naval" as an addressee in my heads-up to
justwait.
You just put it back, in your response to my post.
Looking for a bigger audience for your political spins?

Eisboch

I put it back in. This no longer is a newsgroup in which recreational
boating is much discussed, so why does it matter anyway?

I think what matters more is why you put it back in.

Why, to broaden the reach and breadth of discussion, of course. Don't
you Republicans get tired of breeding with each other? Half the posters
already in rec.boats aren't boaters, anyway. What difference does it
make anymore?

This group won't even sustain a boating-only discussion board that was
offered up. Why worry about the "purity" of rec.boats? When's the last
time *you* initiated and sustained an interesting boating discussion
here or in the other joint? How about your buddy Tom, when he isn't busy
deleting posts?

Face the reality head-on...rec.boats no longer is a boating discussion
group, not when you have idiots like JustWaitScotty posting "He is the
picture of progressive liberalism in all it's filth and self indulgence..."

There's your answer. You and Reggie say the same thing. Maybe some new
blood will make this newsgroup interesting again. I'm tired of reading
about golf games, travel trailers, little kids racing motorcycles,
guitars, et cetera, the usual fare in here.

Shall we make a list of the things we are tired of reading originating from
you, including the foul mouthed, personal insults that you have become so
infamous for?

You're cute. You complain about the OT posts, yet you initiate the majority
of them, saturate the place with political cut and pastes, then claim the NG
has gone down the tubes.

I am done. I have far more interesting and important things to do than to
spend my time debating a hypocritical, self centered blowhard.

It was fun for a while, but the stink is getting to be too much.
