Very good. And because they had that day, hired goons no longer show up
and split your head open with a baseball bat for wanting a fair share of
the profits of a company's efforts. Had you seen that, you might be glad
to have a brother close by. These heavy handed "negotiations" made bar
room fights look like a day at the beach.

Not really a viable example Scout... since there are many things in
society that are no longer condoned and that had nothing to do with union
activity.

I agree. For example, it's not condoned to play with chickens, which is what
you do!

Oh dear me...... why? I've hatched most of the flock myself and hand
reared them. The "girls" are tame and enjoy perching on my shoulder or arm
when I'm tending to the chook chores. The Rooster is a beautiful specimen of
Barred Rock with golden hackles. He keeps the girls in line and makes
certain they all return to the pen at the end of the day. I have fresh eggs
daily and every spring I purchase 2 dozen meat birds to raise for the winter
meat supply.

I also have a pet goose which answers to it's name and behaves much like a
dog.... following me around the farm. She loves to have her neck scratched
and keeps those thieving raccoons and weasels away from the chook coop.

Yeah, we can tell you're really fond of playing with farm animals.
