Well, not just for you, I am working on that. There seems to be some
problem with Google and my server. sometimes I post and it kicks thing
back out to me, and others it just post fine. So I apologize for
another annoyance to you. If there is anything else please feel free to
let me know! TnT

I am preparing the list. It may take some time.

Instead of just laughing, how about offering to help? At present I am
looking at Easter as a realistic completion date.

Well Wilko, I am glad to hear from you also, at least indirectly. I
appreciate your previous suggested reading list, and it is always
enlightening to consider you performing at least the one usenet stunt
that you have apparently mastered -

"ROFLMAO!"

My only question to you would be that as many times as you have
performed it since I have known you, how do you ever find a place and a
way to set down comfortably in your kayak or at the computer? Maybe
that is another reason serious kayakers have to personalize their
cockpit padding. :-)

Now regarding the list, I also appreciate your effort which I expect
that KW will also need any help you can offer him, between now and
Easter. Though he did not indicate what year that Easter would be, I am
sure it will keep both of you busy, and out of trouble! I would even
offer to help if you think that would help, though it might be one of
those "too many cooks in the Kitchen" situations.

Also I would not want to surprise you, but please be informed, that I
told KW that I would work on the last couple of aforementioned and
lastly requested request by Kw. I don't recall your name really being
in the mix, however I will entertain any situation you bring to my
attention. Understandably, I reserve the right to ignore your prattle,
unless you choose to speak with me in a civil and beneficial fashion
for myself, and other members of the group.

As far as that goes even with KW's request, I am a verrrry sloooow at
working on some situations, and having had the particular A..hole
condition, since I was born, it is unlikely to change very fast. So
please don't hold your breath on my account.

I have made headway on my double posting situation, and have figured
out that I needed to sign in first before entering a reply and then
trying to sign in when redirected. Apparently my ISP would log on to
the Google server and keep me logged in even after I left, and come
back, such that when Google logged me in, I would in effect be logged in
a second time, and a single post would be posted twice. That situation
got more involved after the third and forth log in with subsequent
posting. But I have learned how to work around, and seems to be doing
ok now. So some issues may clear up faster than others.

In the mean time, I appreciate reading your on topic discussions, and
always look forward to your positive contribution to the group. TnT

I went swimming in March a few years back while wearing a wetsuit with a dry
top, and it's really not all that fun. Being in the state nextdoor, cold is
just one of the risks you might face.

Water quality is another. On our streams where recreational use is seasonal,
water may not always be treated before it's discharged.

One thing you might want to try, fill a 5 gallon bucket with ice and water.
Put quarters on the bottom. Put your arm in there, and after 5 minutes try
to pick up a quarter.

Personally, I'd go to the boat show indoors instead of paddling this weekend.

Hi Melissa, it is always good to hear a helpful voice of reason, and it
certainly helps my headache. I will check out the links you have
shared. I am still learning about this usenet experience, and when
Google bought the system, I thought it would work better. I am finally
getting the system figured out and running a bit smoother for the last
couple of days.

I guess my question to you is what is the advantage of going through
the list server, in comparison to going directly to Google. It seems
to be difficult to get straight answers. You either end up talking to a
robot server, or a FAQ page that you get to sort out your own question.

Anyway thanks for yur help, and I hope your headache gets better. I
have a lot of fun sharing the paddling experience, and regret that this
foolishness gets perpetuated here. I would rather they take it
somewhere else, that way we all could avoid this carnage, and pay
attention to what we are really here to enjoy! TnT

Easter 2010 might fit the time plan all right, IMNSHO.

And although I'm flattered by your invitation, I'd much rather spend my
time on more useful things, like picking my nose, or for that matter,
even picking my GF's nose when mine is empty.

;-)

Seriously though, I think that the amount of people and energy needed to
have any long term positive effect doesn't weigh up against the nuisance.

BTW, I'll be more than happy to help you out on another front, like
setting up boats and transportation if for example you'd find yourself
(and your wife) on this side of the big pond wanting to go paddling.

Welcome to the Tinkerntom experience!

Thanks! I would love to do that...one day! And we could reciprocate...now
that we are living on the water :-)
