You'd call yourself "Nav" just so you could know where you are?

Try re-reading my post slowly?

Why will Katy be offended? Seriously, I'd like to know why some

Seriously, I'd like to know why some sailor would call themselves
'nav' something on the web.

Are there many sailors out there that can't navigate?

I call myself Nav. beacuse I am not the Captain, just a member of the crew.
In that regard I may be unusual as there many Captains here.

To answer your second question, the number of sailors who can navigate
well by DR is small.

Now, why do you call yourself "Lady"

Cheers

Well, I needed something to fulfill my sailing related posts quota.
Reminds me of the old bulletin board days when an upload/download ratio had
to be maintained; oh, the crap I uploaded!

Kinda like Horass, Boob**** and Nav do now?

Nav December 12th 04 10:50 PM

I never really liked BB's. But if you post any sailing related stuff
here you will be doing us all a service! Thnk God there's been no gun
tread for a while although it's been bubbling under the surface for a while.

Now here's a new Q:

Why is the garboard strake so called?

A reasonable deduction.

I also reckon the group reached a typically harmonious conclusion?

Within reason.
