I wish.....
the rule of thumb here is, the criminal's rights are paramount. They are
poor under priviliged youths who just need a gentle guiding/helping hand.

You elected your leaders.

a thousand dollars in damages, and went half way around the block.

Well a couple weekeds ago some little locals decided to bust out the
windows on the back of my shop. 8 of them. about 800$ worth of (now)
plexiglass and labor. I'm also going to put industiral screening over
them. I hate to make the building look "Ghetto" but I don't know what
else to do.

Of course, If I caught one doing the damage, I'd be the one going to
jail.

The police just looked at the damage and shook their heads.

Do you have a security system? I'm in a "good" area but I still have full
perimeter coverage will a few motion detectors in case someone would want
to try to cut through a door rather than forcing it open. I also have one
camera that can pick up the largest area. I have $550K in inventory right
now so the ADT security system alone saves me more than I pay for it in
insurance premiums.

Being a former design engineer for a security products supplier, I do know
about security systems. Bad dog is still the best!

Bummer! Have you seen this?

Just when you thought you were safe locking your doors. We have an alarm
system so we will not be changing our locks.

I am not going to divulge what we have for security in this house. I
wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

It *is* pretty cool though and it's the first I've ever seen or heard of
one.

Sam has a deep, throaty bark and growl that would be a little scary to hear,
but if he got close to you he would lick you to death.

His new buddy though ... the silent type ... is a different story. Very,
very protective, especially towards Mrs.E.

I've got the best perimeter/alarm/protection system in the world.

It's called the Skye Skippy System. Loud, noisy and extremely
effective protection.

Cheap too. :)

OK. Without a web search, I'll say that's a...dog?

Two dogs soon to be joined by a third.

O.J. Simpson with a hunting knife?

Funny you should mention that. We have a picture, taken back in the 80's at
a restaurant in Carmel, CA of Mrs.E. standing with O.J. Simpson (he has his
arm around her). We were just looking at it the other day.

She's the only person on the face of the earth that still thinks he is
innocent.

Eisboch

He is Innocent, in the eyes of the law a court made that declaration.
Now did he do it, welllll.

He was declared not guilty which, as I understand it from attorney
friends of mine, is not the same as innocent.

Why? I have no freakin' clue - some esoteric nuance that only the
minds of attorney's can understand.

Capt Jack R..

Innocent of "Murder?" YES! (according to the law)

Not guilty. Innocent isn't a legal concept as I understand it.

Guilty of "Wrongful death"? YES! (according to the law)

Different standard of proof between criminal and civil courts.

I'm still trying to figure that one out.

See above.
