You are right, I was wrong, it is up to $160,000 per member http://www.cpapracticeadvisor.com/ne...-casino-income The tax obligations of the tribe and its members are expected to soar because IRS examiners also are auditing the Miccosukee's gambling distributions for the years 2006-2010, when payouts to each member were as high as $160,000 annually. Not a bad living just for being an indian. That's a ****ing LIEN for taxes not paid!!!!! It has NOTHING to do with the notion (and lie) that each person in the tribe gets money!!!!! What part of "when pay outs to each member were as high as $160,000 annually." is so hard for you to understand? "Each" implies they all get a payout, which they do., The IRS lien was for $170 MILLION against the 600 members. The guy who hangs out and drinks with my drunken neighbor brags about his $48,000. I guess he doesn't have enough feathers in his cap to get the $160k. I am not sure this guy has ever actually worked and he is about 40. He may have worked at the scalping station on Tamiami trail a while tho. What a bunch of bigoted blather. I thought better of you than that. "The United States is home to 2.4 million Native Americans. In comparison to the rest of the population, this number is a very small amount (only .9%).[11] American Indians have historically lived in extreme poverty. With the rise of Indian gaming enterprises, the problem of poverty may have seemed to disappear. Yet, while Native Americans have begun to take more control of their tribal economies and have begun to improve situations, poverty on Indian Reservations is still a major issue. The U.S. Census in both 1990 and 2000 indicates that poverty has prevailed on reservations: to this day, Native Americans have the highest poverty and unemployment rates in the United States of America. The poverty rate of Native Americans is 25%.[12]" Incomes of Native Americans tend to be low, and unemployment rates are usually high. For example, the unemployment rate today on the Blackfoot Reservation in Montana is 69%. This is a shocking comparison to the national unemployment rate today, 9.8% (US Bureau of Labor) or even during the worst part of the Great Depression, 25%.[13] According to the 2000 Census, Indians living in Indian country have incomes that are less than half of the general U.S. population.[14] The US Census reports that the median income of households based on a three-year average from 2003- 2005 was $33,627.[12] With a poverty rate of 25%[12], they are right along with the big cities run by Democrats. Maybe they should start voting Republican and get their education system fixed. City, State, % of People Below the Poverty Level 1. Detroit, MI 32.5% 2. Buffalo, NY 29.9% 3. Cincinnati, OH 27.8% 4. Cleveland, OH 27.0% 5. Miami, FL 26.9% 6. St. Louis, MO 26.8% 7. El Paso, TX 26.4% 8. Milwaukee, WI 26.2% 9. Philadelphia, PA 25.1% 10. Newark, NJ 24.2% John H. -- Hope you're having a great day! Typical narrow mindedness, take ONE statistic and ignore the rest..... Why are these welfare dependent places long term poverty centers? You would think with the government handing out help and money they could quickly rise up the economic ladder. Some do. You see, you are like a lot of others here, you think once someone is on welfare, etc, that they never get off, no one ever makes good, no one ever rises above it. Typical FOX rhetoric. How many for the trillions spent on the war on poverty? Sort of like the drug war. We have lost both. What is your suggestion? Throw more money at the problem? And if it is that, where should we get the mone. The place to start is to try and educate the ignorant on why racism, bigotry and general anti-trust is just that, blind ignorance. You can look at you and the right wingers here and just see by their bigotry that THEY certainly wouldn't trust nor hire someone who's been on assistance.... The funny thing is I bet you never hired anybody on welfare, or for that matter anybody for a job. I hired a lot of lower income people over the years. Lots were not very good workers, a few were. I and a partner owned a medium sized porta potty business years ago. So we dealt with both full time employees and casual labor. Plus I had a black fishing partner for years. So where is the racism, bigotry. Unfortunately my partner gave up fishing because of health reasons and has since passed away. Still see and help his wife and family. I am a fiscal conservative. Why do you want to spend the grand kids and great grand kids legacy? You want no pain from bad life choices? Want the kids to have the pain instead of you? If you are still working and worked for me and spent as much time as you do on the internet during the day, you would replaced! I work around 14 hours a day, dip****, if I take ten minutes to do what I want from time to time, that's well and fine. I produce and make money. I heard that bull**** about spending the grandkid's money when I was a little kid, same bull****, different time. Who the hell is going to pay off the 17 trillion and growing debt? 40 years ago, we owed less than 700 billion. |

So ALL native americans are like that, eh? Did I say that? The indians on the reservations do have a big problem with unemployment and substance abuse tho, just like everyone else who lives off the welfare state. So NOW everyone who is on welfare has "substance abuse". I really didn't know you were as bigoted as John! But it's all coming together now! Where did hesitate ALL had substance abuse use? They all have problems with substance abuse. If a family member or tribe member is a user, it affects all. |

I have seen plenty of them. There was a list of the ones I am referring to in this thread. Do you actually think Detroit is a success story? Why do you constantly change the question/answers? YOU said "inner cities are just reservations for the poor people". Now what does that have to do with whether or not Detroit is a "success story"? Almost all "inner cities" the real estate is VERY expensive, the apartments and townhouses and brownstones are very pricey and exclusive. There you go... now isn't that better than just saying "cite"? |
