Default Brrrrrrrrrr....cold weather boating sucks!

It was about 40 degrees when I got to the Lake Zoar boathouse of my
buddy's early this am. I was about ready to go back home but it's only
going to get colder. Anyway, we lowered the boat onto the lake and drove
over to the ramp near the dam where Mrs. Paul (not the fishstick lady)
was waiting with the trailer. It was really cold. Did I say that already?

Boat is washed, engine is winterized, boat is in storage shed.

Let it snow!

The proud owner of a 37 foots something or other. The new limo liberal standard in boating.

Surely with nice weather like that you could find something else to
do?

This spoofing nonsense has gotten really old.

Supposed to be in the mid-70s here tomorrow. My wife and I are planning a last
play day on the Potomac before the boat's put up for the winter. Never got the
name of Harry's $8/foot shrink wrapper, so will use a local one at a cost of
$13/foot.

Oh well.

Pretty nice here too. We went for a picnic at the beach today on the
boat..

I like fall boating but sometimes we have early onset winter here, and I
wanted to get my old boat under cover before it got really cold. Now I
don't have to worry about her.

I still have my newer boat in the water in LI Sound for a couple more
weeks.

Unless I missed it you still never said what you do with your boat.
Fishing, skiing, drinking, transport, tanning...???

My small boats are great for getting lost back in skinny water. We
mostly like to camp and fish from our boat, sometimes I find a secluded
place to anchor up, throw in a line, and have a couple of beers..

Oh, we do a little fishing, a little cruising, a little sight-seeing, no
special agenda, whatever strikes our fancy on a given day or weekend. I
bought a late 90's 32' sportfish in 2004 and spent three years and too
much money "refreshing" her. I'm not a serious fisherguy, but the lines
and handling of this boat intrigued me enough to buy her.

First rain in months here. Cool and wet. Was out working on a new storage
rack for the kayaks, and got one side welded before the rain arrived. Using
some old 30' aluminum extension ladders for parts. replacing one I made out
of galvanized pipe welded together.

Right. Krause isn't worthy of all the attention we are paying him.
