It isn't a Formal Race? Forget it. Why protest a FUN RACE. Make the
winning Skipper or in you case 2nd place buy you a HOT DAWG and give the
money to the FUND. That my friend would make you and your crew a
Winner.

One must protest. I protested last time when one of the opposing skippers
told my crew to put on the small jib before I got to the boat. We were late
that year also. Of course, she denies it.

Originally I was thinking you were in netkkkop mode again, but further
thought showed otherwise.

Those sailors broke the law to get 2nd place. They should withdraw from any
standing if they had any moral character.

Don't worry if they don't withdraw. There is a special place in hell for
lawbreakers like them. Extra crispy too!

AMEN!

I've never been in netkkkop mode.

I was thinking of hiring a lawyer to present a formal protest.

I actually know a Federal prosecuter based in Texas quite well. We went to
high school together. Perhaps he would be willing to help.

Hell no, if a cop tried that crap at a regetta here he would be
swimming for his life.
At the harvest moon, if the mayor dont show up to welcome us he is in
deep ****! Over 250 boats bring lots of money to the locals in a
normally off month. If they set up a chicken **** speed trap tactics
they would move to the finish line to a friendly town to celebrate and
spend money.
