![]() "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... I guess not. Please explain to us all why Elements 3.0 ISN'T fine for most people!!!! We're waiting! I've never used Elements 3.0.... Uh...you do realize that Elements is, in many respects, simply a consumer oriented level version of Photoshop? It does just about anything a photographer would need. A pro, submitting for publishing would need more. So is Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro, iGraphix Design Suite.... sheesh I could go on. Most of the basic apps that come with the digitals these days are fine for basic photo retouching... like the lame sepia tone and red-eye removal, rotate etc. CM |

go on. No, Mooron. Elements was LIFTED lock stock and barrel out of PS. They are both from Adobe. Adobe essentially created Elements in the wake of PSLE, which had been a giveaway with many cameras and scanners. Elements is expanded, but operates just like photoshop, duplicating keystokes and so on. I have Paintshop pro and it's a different program with it's own learning curve. RB |

Yeah but if you have a full version of Photoshop on your computer... why bother with Elements program? I'll have a look when I pick up my G4 this week. I'm getting a freebie from my lil'Bro. It'll have a mess of full graphics onboard. CM |

Yeah but if you have a full version of Photoshop on your computer... why
bother with Elements program? I have Elements 3.0 on my Notebook computer, which only has a small HD. Only the new computer with it's 200GB drive has PS. It will open the NEF files with the Nikon View download and does everything I need. I don't use PS's higher end features. This is just silly. You're actually bothering with this thread after I smashed you in the others. It's over Mooron. But leave those forks (must be about 50) stuck in your backside as a reminder! RB |

Not a fork in sight Bob..... Now a few questions ... why do you have such an old Notebook?? Why do you download to a Notebook with like 8 megs of video memory when your desktop must have at least 128 or more never mind a minimum of 500 megs ram? Why would you want to edit photos on your Notebook? Heh maybe... you dropped the fork and sat on it... but it hasn't penetrated the fat layer yet? CM |
