You're really an idiot. Castro and Brezhnev are COMMUNISTS not
socialists. Sweden is pretty close to Russia. Maybe you were thinking
of them.

Why don't you learn something, Jon. You really make an ass of yourself,
putting your ignorance on display. Socialism and communism aren't mutually
exclusive. True communism probably never existed in any viable form in the
past several centuries, beyond the communes in the US in the Sixties and
Seventies. Both the USSR, which, incidentally means Union of the Soviet
*Socialist* Republics, and Cuba were/are socialist countries. That the US
calls them "communist" countries means little.

You've always been on the loser list. No need to be repetitive.

Hmm. Lessee--the man I voted for won. Yours didn't.

I believe you've got that backward.

Nutsy,

I'd like to suggest that you, also Jon, take a look at a map of the
States that the Democrats didn't take.

The Big Red covered the south and Bible Belt Midwest. Then;

Check your history to see where the last two Democratic Presidents came
from. Even my old mind remembers. Arkansas Clinton; Georgia Carter.
Both rather conservative areas. In fact, only one Democrat President,
Kennedy wasn't from the South and he had the help of Watergate. The
other two, Johnson from Texas and Truman from Missouri. Most were middle
of the road guys

Now Nutsy & Jon if you would explain why the South and mid west needs to
have a greater Lefty-Liberal choice I'd be more than willing to listen.

The people are voting against their own best interest, in a large
measure because they are being hijacked by the mix of religion and
politics. Also, the average level of education is pretty low, not just
in the South. The combination of the two is deadly. Thus, we get Bush
for another term.

Peter,

There is a strange thing that happens in this Country every Election
Year.

It comes as a shock to New Yorkers, San Francisco, and Los Angeles that
they are not the United States. It really bothers them to learn that
they have to be submitted to the will of the rest of the Nation. They
have trouble understanding that they are only a part of the United
States of America and not that the USA is part of their domain.

We tend to lead the nation in all of the significant social and
technological ways. Even the Republican governor we have is pretty
progressive.

I wouldn't call that living. "Existing" is a better word for it. Like mold.
