Default Any Dinghy Sailors Out There?

Don't know... don't sail dinghies... the cal I sail has a bulb-like
keel, fairly advanced for it's time (1965), finally supplanted by the
Santana 22. The keel weighs about 950 lbs. Total boat weight
is about 2000.

I'm not familiar with the 14.5. Does it have a keel?

No keel, just a swingboard. The Hunter 146, as it is called, is brand new.

I
think they've only been out for a year.

So, you sail on the SF Bay? I sail in the Gulf off the panhandle of FL.

We've
never got our boat to plane, but then there are two of us in the boat and
whoever's in the crew position is weighing down the front end. How do you

get a
dinghy to plane?
