Oh yeah - got one of those. :) I'm waiting on my trailer at the moment - they had to replace one entire set of spingles and backing plates. Don't know what happened, but something did all pitted and rusted. I had both assemblys changed - springs, brackets, backing plates, calipers, rotors, spindles - I don't think there is one old part in either the suspension or braking system. :) Should be good for another eight years. You hope. Changed an axle last year on trip to Canada. Friday, going to Moss Landing for a weekend away from the smoke and heat. Get less than 5 miles from home and passing truck honks and points at trailer. Bearing smoking. Towed is slowly home and parked it. Threw the kayak on the camper and some extra clothes and food and headed off to June Lake for a long weekend. Stayed at Pine Cliff RV Park. Still a nice place. Fished June Lake from the Kayak Saturday morning, trolling fly and cast master. Nothing. Saw one fish caught at East end is all. Sunday was going to fish Hot Creek and Owens Riv. Went to hatchery and wife would not let me fish the brood ponds. Then off to the geologic area for a nice look and then tried a Hot Creek and caught nothing and saw nothing. Went to Owens Riv and the salmon egg crowd was doing well in their area. Went to the Catch and release area as a huge wind hit. 40-60 mph. Followed by a couple hours of rain. Flash floods closed 395 at Independence. Tried Rush Creek Monday and scared a couple of fish and no takes. Elk Hair Caddis and Matuka's. Silver Creek was giving up fish to salmon eggs, and not to flys. Left to spend Monday night at Tuolumne Meadows. Get set up and the rains, hail, sleet hit. Finally abandoned the screen room for the camper as a river ran through the screen room, and hail built up in the screen. Yesterday morning walked the Tuolumne river and saw a few small fish, but none on the fly.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Man, that's a haul up there! Do you take 120 through Yosemite (Tioga Pass Road) to get there? Yup. I did about 450 miles for the total trip with running down to Mammoth. Nice thing about old age, is the Golden Age Pass gives free passage through Yosemite, and $10 camping. |

All of Yosemite is nice, but camping can suck in the park, too crowded! |

The valley campgrounds were full, but the prettier areas are from Tuolumne east, except for the waterfalls in the valley. |
