-- _____________ "ReevesJ32" wrote in message ... I guess the "need" to try for tasteless shock value is a Jackson family trait. Yep, looks that way. And if that wasn't a planned exposure, why the pastie? What passes for talent these days really sucks! Absolutely! Isn't it time that we all state the obvious and tell these faux entertainers that we know they all have no talent and resort to sexual antics on stage to hide that which is all too evident? Whatever happened to musicians and singers who actually relied on their talent and creative / artistic material rather than shock value? First, what credentials do YOU have to be able to state what is artistic talent and what is not? Second, there were no sexual antics on stage. A woman's breast was shown. Do you not think that their dance routine took talent? If they had no talent, how did they get where they are? The dance WAS "artistic material". It's just that some people are too narrow minded to understand! |

wrote in message ....that was not a pastie. It was a piece of jewelry held on by a pin through her protruding nipple. A few times in HS, my daughter started lobbying for some kind of body piercing. I told her she could, just as soon as she could point out to me exactly whose esteem and regard -- hers or someone else's -- was so important that she would risk letting a stranger use a mechanical device to punch a hole in some body part. Of course, I even think pierced ears are pretty stupid, so I guess that identifies my niche. :-) Jeez, even people of the Stone Age liked self adornment. It IS a matter of a person's self esteem. Again, there are many, many articles dealing with self adornment back to the beginning of man. |

A few weeks back, my son was watching Saturday Night Live, probably a
re-run. There was this funny guy on, a guest, doing a great job with one of the skits. I commented on it, and my son, who's 14 and supposed to dislike him, said it was Justin Timberlake. But, even he had to admit that Timberlake was quite good. I think 14 year old boys dislike him because of his nauseating squeaky clean image when he was with Nsync. But, he seems to be behaving more like a person now, rather than a magnet for bubble gum girls. |

wrote in message It's amazing how wound up some people can get just by seeing a breast. Its not seeing her breast that's the issue, Bill. She's thirty-seven years old -- you probably couldn't count the number of..... well, never mind that. As I said before, there are six billion in the world, one more doesn't matter. Its the tacky, low-class way she felt it necessary to draw attention to herself that is bothersome. ....that was not a pastie. It was a piece of jewelry held on by a pin through her protruding nipple. Ref my second para above. An artist needs to "draw attention" to him/herself. After all, he/she IS the product they are selling. |

![]() Well, Justin sure knows where the titties are kept.... hehe I was in line a couple years ago for Black Sabbath reunion tickets, that went on sale the same time as Nsync tickets were going off. Talk about a culture rift between the two lines!! -W "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ... I think 14 year old boys dislike him because of his nauseating squeaky clean image when he was with Nsync. Yup, some are indeed better than others, but never found a bare one I didn't like. [grin] Too much ado over a breast. What a backwards country this is. -- Email sent to is never read. You misunderstand. It's the "ado" over the nearly bare breast on television I find absurd. I'm not too old to be "titillated," as it were. Anyone who has traveled any and has tuned in to television in Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and dozens of other countries has seen bare female breasts during primetime hours on the major television stations. It is Americans who are so backwards about this they flip out when they see tits on TV. It's perfectly ok, though, to show someone being shot. -- Email sent to is never read. I think most of the uproar is over the low class stunt. Draw attention to yourselves as you have no real talent. PBS shows bare titties, and not uproar. Most of the soaps probably come close, and Baywatch etc, were as good as showing. |
