If you are a journalist or world do-gooder and value your life, stay the hell out of the areas of the world being controlled by the likes of ISIS. Otherwise, don't expect your government to come and save your ass or expect retaliation because you got killed. I'd add 'keep control of your borders'. -- Ban idiots, not guns! |

Not a path to citizenship, which they do nothing t want if they can come and work part of the year. We already do it with H-1 visas, screwing those citizens with STEM degrees. |

We already do it with H-1 visas, screwing those citizens with STEM degrees. I would give a work permits to anyone who pays FICA taxes and stays out of trouble. The ironic thing is the IRS may actually be getting less money because of the immigration crackdowns. Back when 3 or 4 people were using the same SS# they were collecting withholding and FICA from all of them and only one could actually file a return. The reality is they had to have enough taken out to insure they didn't have to and nobody filed. (those tax refunds stayed in DC) The FICA tax was first dollar and they were never going to be able to collect benefits because they would not have the documents to get by SSA. A friend of mine had a lawn service and he knew most of his guys were illegal. He still collected taxes and sent it in like they were. Every year he got a letter from the IRS saying there might be a problem with the SS# but they didn't really want him to do anything and it said in big bold print "Do not use this letter as a reason to terminate the employee" They knew it would cost them money |
