What makes you thing that? Mind you, I'm not accusing you of being an

objective observer. Being Harry's chief ass licker makes you far from

objective.

Well, it didn't take long for FlaJim to regress into personal insults.

We should have taken some kind of lottery on it, except everyone would have wanted the 1st day.

I find it amusing you are so obsessed with my wife. You bring her up

Do you have a wife? If you do, I can't recall an occasion here in which
you discussed her or any of her accomplishments. What does she do or

You seem awfully secretive about your life and your family, but awfully

There was a time you bragged about her a dozen or more times a day.
YOU provided the opportunity for others to irritate you by using
information you provide. Live with it, asshole. My family is none of

So you do not consider the information about a wife, her employment, children, their employment to
be personal information?

If memory serves, John, and it might not, I think you mentioned several
times that your wife was a federal employee, and that you have a son or
son in law in the military.

How *personal* is that?

Do you find it revealing and ironic that there are posters here who go
out of their way to attempt to insult the spouses or children of other
posters, and yet are so secretive about their own spouses or children?

How many times over these many years has anyone here said anything nasty
about your spouse? I don't recall any such incidents. *I* in fact have
over the years mentioned any number of times how nice and gracious your
wife was. Were you offended by that?

It's interesting to observe which posters here continue with personally

insulting other posters here.

Is there any good reason to refrain from insulting you and your ass lick?

If anyone is keeping track of who's doing what to send the newsgroup back down into the abyss... they should mark this comment on their ledger.

FlaJim, Wayne, and Earl seem to be playing the name-calling game. It's
going to be interesting to watch them *not* get the response they seem
to want.

Yabut, the sharing or not sharing of any information is the right and up
to the poster. Frankly, I try to be a little careful about how much
info I share in a newsgroup considering the number of people who can see
it who probably never post to rec.boats. Think about it. Google groups
and the numerous web based forums that copy and republish "rec.boats"
makes the total audience fairly large and world wide.

That's fine, but if one is so reluctant to share one's own information,
it might seem that one shouldn't be so eager to share in a disparaging
way information about someone else's spouse or children. But, of course,
that only applies to those with a bit of self-control.

personal.

Faulty logic. If I tell you my son is drinking up all the beer in the house, and you say something
about his drinking habits, then you've opened the door. There is no requirement that anyone provide
personal information to you. I've provided personal information about my employment and been called
a rapist and baby killer - by you.

How many times over these many years has anyone here said anything nasty

I don't think your "revelation" that your wife works or worked for the
government is particularly personal, or that your son in law is in the
military is particularly personal.

You brought up comments I've made about you, based upon your military
career. You've made plenty of disparaging remarks about other posters
here, including remarks about me.

Neither of those are the same as making disparaging remarks about a
poster's spouse or children who do not post here. Other than my hope
that he returns safe, I have no comment to make about your son in law
serving in one of those overseas hellholes.

I have nothing but admiration for the spouses of many posters here.
