Dont even bother reading reading last weeks weather off PNW. Lets just
say gust to 90+ knots and all that goes with it.

I think they call it a winter storm.

Just got back from a 10 day delivery from Havre de Grace Md to Fernadino
Beach Fla on board 40ft sailboat - Had two blows go through - stayed in ICW
during blows and went outside other times.

Worst condition were inside last Monday when entering Neuse river on way to
Beaufort, NC - Then, we holed up Wednesday overnight in Beaufort, SC when
tornadoes were forecast, but we did not get anything severe.

In between we had good conditions from Beafort, NC to Charleston and from
St. Catherines inlet, Ga to Florida. Owner reports that they once gain have
gales and boat has not yet moved on.

It snowed here in Charleston several times, today, but the ground is too
warm for it to stick. Roads were quite slick, but with water, not ice,
so far. A light switched on me and I slid to a stop right on the line
like some kind of movie stunt man...(c;

It seems diesel engines run cooler on 80% frying oil and 20% regular
gasoline. The heater in the 300TD station wagon was sucking the waste
heat out of the 3.0L 5-cyl turbo'd diesel that never got to a temperature
to open the thermostat when I was out foraging for food. It started
right up on glow plugs at 38F this morning, ran a little rough but
smoothed out within 5 minutes just fine.
