If he was inside that gate, he was on a private sidewalk on private
property.

Once again, he was invited there. He wasn't trespassing.

You said it was a public sidewalk.

It is not unreasonable to ask a stranger why they are on private
property, particularly in answer to the question "why are you
following me"

An answer to a question is usually not a question.

Not answering a question is not asking to be assaulted.

It appears Martin answered the question with a punch in the nose. THAT
is assault and battery. When Zimmerman's head was bounced on the
pavement it was aggravated assault.
That is a forcible felony in Florida and a bystander could have shot
Martin at that point. (using the old law)

I think Martin was standing his ground, and that's what you're supposed
to do in Florida. You state the above like it's facts and it's not, it's
hearsay, and not only that, barely plausible. How much are you going to
let a guy pummel you if you have a gun?

This all comes down to breaking Zimmerman's story and Corey has not
said she can do that, at least not in the charging document.
She is trying to make a case that Zimmerman got out of his truck,
intending to shoot Martin "with a depraved mind". If so, why did he
call the cops?

Because he's a cop wannabe vigilante.

We better get our head around the idea that Zimmerman is going to beat
this charge. It might get tossed in the immunity hearing. As Bill
Maher said the other night, store owners in Miami are already buying
the plywood to board up their stores.
It is going to be a long hot summer and if that happens, say hi to
President Romney.

There you go again, certain that Zimmerman is innocent because of
what??? Oh, FOX of course!

Yeah we have had a rash of insurance salesmen robbing kids of their

Have you had a rash of kids with skittles and a cold drink killing
people? I was using the exact same criteria as you to come to the above
conclusion.

You do seem fairly confused about the legal status of your HOAs common

Doesn't matter, Martin had all the right to be there.

True, but it was Martin who asked the first question.

The only story we have is that Martin approached Zimmerman.
Unless there is a witness we have not seen yet, that will be the only
story we have. Everything else is speculation.

Not true at all. Zimmerman STATED that he "followed Martin".

He also said he had lost sight of Martin

I keep hearing that Martin did not need to explain **** but that is
not really true.
If you don't live in a gated community you do not understand. These
people pay thousands of dollars a year to live behind gates so they
will not have strangers walking around.
Every resident is part owner of that street, that sidewalk and the
grass in between. They have the same right to ask a stranger what they
are doing there as you would have to ask someone why they were walking
across your patio.

And the stranger has no right to just walk away?

Not really ... in Florida. On your property, you can pretty much shoot
them and that is particularly true if they punch you in the nose and
knock you down
Harry would shoot you for that and he lives in a "retreat state"

So if a man like Zimmerman approaches me at night in Florida while I'm
walking home I can't under law walk away?

You can certainly walk away but you can't punch them in the nose for
asking "what are you doing here" on private property.

And there you have it... it's not against the law to ask someone a question. It IS against the law to commit assault& battery.

"Going to my Dad's house." was the proper response. A little less attitude would have saved his life.

Oh, so a person in Florida is automatically supposed to just do nothing
when someone attempts to assault him? Then just what IS this stand your
ground law for?

Write 100 times:

"Asking a question is not assault."

But how do you know that the person asking the question isn't about to
assault you? Do you wait for him to do so?

Do you commit assault and battery on everyone that is asking you a question, just in case they are about to attack you?

How do you know that Wilson committed an assault and battery? But, I
certainly wouldn't give a stranger in the night any information without
knowing who he was and what he wanted. It would be stupid to do so.

At least have enough respect to get his name right, as you are using his
death for a political bludgeon...

You would run and call the cops... you are not relevant in this
conversation from any other perspective than you seem to have the same
mindset as Zimmerman, with a touch more psychosis, a and a lot more
cowardice...

There is nobody else who knows what actually happened. Until I
actually hear another credible witness who actually saw what happened,
I am left with Zimmerman's story.
The first eye witness so far did not even look until the guy with the
white shirt had the guy in the red shirt on the ground.
The woman who said the guy in red was on top did not look until after
the gun shot.

How about the girlfriend? How about the lady who heard the ruckus and
claims it was all about Zimmerman? Oh, they don't count, because like
you said earlier, those blacks have an attitude.

The girl friend has Martin asking the first question

The other witnesses did not start looking until after the fight
started and the ONLY one that has Zimmerman on top did not look until
after Martin was shot.

Well then, it MUST be that "black attitude" thing.

You will say anything to keep the circle of bull**** turning... Next we
will be back at the who said first issue, then who followed who, then
back to the black attitude again. You are too predictable plum..

I think Martin was standing his ground,

You "think", but you don't know. That's the problem, you're opinion is not based on any facts.

Evidently in Zimmerman's case long enough to get cold-cocked, have the guy get on top of you and bounce your head off the ground a couple of times.

This all comes down to breaking Zimmerman's story and Corey has not

Hearsay and pure conjecture.
