Meanwhile, the US government has declared that they can seize your

as your destination. There is no due process involved. If your boat
seems like it is equipped to make it to Cuba, that's all they need.
You do not get your boat or other property back, either.

Ah, poor Charlie, victim of a repressive regime. Ever considered
emigrating
from CT to CA? Oh, wait a minute. What about Cuba as your permanent home?
That would solve the problem.

I look forward to sailing to Cuba. It's at the top of my list of
places I'd like to visit. The day may not be that far off when it
becomes possible. Fidel's brother is pretty old, and the Bush
administration is greased and ready to slide out of Washington. You
would realize that there was change in the air if your stinky smoking
habit didn't obscure it. :')

Count me in as a Cuba bound sailor... I cant' wait. Beautiful beaches, the
music, the food...

The Cuba issue is just one more reason our country SUCKS. We spend Billions
in China,
but if you live in Miami you can't visit Cuba? Dah?

Couple of days ago, our stupid president,,, the dumbest moron who has ever
held the
highest office in the US ... recogized Kosovo as a country!

Kosovo? An independent country?

The village idiot tells Kosovo it is now an independent country, no problem.

But 90 miles from Key West there is an island, big one,, Cuba .. and we
Americans can't visit?

Why? Tell me one reason it is ok to go spend money in communist Vietnam, a
country we actually
fought a war in,, and left with out asses kicked .. yet I can't take my F'n
sailboat to Cuba.

How about telling the village idiot that it isn't 1960. Yo,, George .. get
the F.. out! Go back to Texas
and get drunk. Take you little drunken daughters with you! And the drunken
dog.

When kids one hundred years from now study history, they will turn to the
chapter .. "The end of the United States"
The first sentence will start "Led by a corrupt, stupid, drunken, moron,
...... "

For those of us who do not want to benefit the Cuban dictatorship by
sailing there, in order to be consistent we also have to be willing to
boycott Chinese products and Vietnamese. No problemo, I stopped
buying anything from Wal Mart when they went all Chinese all the
time. Chinese goods are so poorly made that even with the low prices
they actually cost you more because you have to replace them when they
break. Thus we have a double reason not to buy Chinese. I also
advocate that we all boycott the olympics this year. I strongly
advocate self determination for Taiwan. If you are in the market for
a computer, remember Lenovo is Chinese made.

fair enough, but don't blame the Chinese...after all, they're playing by
rules many in your country like...i.e., no unions, low wages, no benefits,
no health care, as few holidays as possible, no pensions etc... BTW I feel
you about MallWart, but how do you feel about the big 3? Still buying
"domestic"? I was being harassed on the highway the other day by some
jackass in a big Dodge pickup who had one of those moronic bumper stickers
that said "Out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign" Apparently he had a
pickle up his ass about my 18 year old Honda Accord...that was built in
Tennessee...by Americans...

but to the point, some of you Americans are in the most desperate need for
travel...I mean how long can anyone stare at their belly button and still
be AAMAAAZZEDDD at its grandeur!!!!

It was assembled in Tennessee, not built. The parts came from Japan
and the profits went back to Japan!

LOL.

And they built the factories with concrete and bricks imported from Japan,
imported genuine Japanese managers, assembly line workers and maintenance
people, fed them all with nothing but imported Japanese sushi and rice
flown
in on Japanese Airlines, and paid them in yen deposited only in Japanese
banks, right?

Same with Mexicans... they don't get paid in US currency in the US.

Huh? I pay my Mexicans in Yankee Federal Reserve banknotes. There is no
US Currency since 1913.

Check the parts content of a Chevy, Ford or Chrysler.

Thanks for quoting "Dave" gentlemen...reminds me again why he's in my
idiot bin. Funny how in little minds like his, it's okay for GM, Ford and
Daimler-Chrysler to trample each other in their haste to employ Mexicans,
while shipping the profits back to the US or Germany, but the Japanese
don't get to play the same capitalist game. Dimwit.

But as to Cuba, yes Fidel has had his time. The majority of the Cuban
people revere him and who's to argue with the will of the people and what
his revolution has done for the quality of their lives? And who
will not be aware of the pain and suffering caused by the inhuman enmbargo
imposed by a succession of hide-bound ideologues in White House.
America's shameful behaviour in this regard may see American business
excluded from Cuba's next economic revolution. In 2008, with the
economic power of Europe, the MidEast and China, who needs $US$ any
longer? Cuba will evolve it's institutions in time to look like the
social democracies that populate the UN's list of top countries in which
to live.

Hardly. But meanwhile tell that to those suffering in poverty there. But
hey, you don't live there so it's easy for you to throw their lives away,
right?
