From what I've read, there have been boaters going to Cuba for years, although it is illegal. Soon it will be legal! Viva la Cuba .. !!! What a trip... down the coast, stop at some keys,, a little Key West and then Set the sails... we are heading to Havana! They have Marinas. It is only illegal for US citizens to go there. I had the opportunity to sail there last year for a scientific conference but after I talked to someone who had, I realized that almost all the money I spent would go into Castros pocket and be used to further oppress his people. If your conscience allows you to support a police state with your money,ok, but mine wont allow it. |

![]() wrote in message ... Then why can the DHS legally seize your boat in waters off of Long Island if they simply claim you intended to sail to Cuba? That's been going on for over 200 years. It's called civil forfieture were the contraband is charged with the crime and seized. They'll take your boat but you will never be charged. It all comes under Admiralty Law, and evil institution used on land. Ever wonder why the gold fringe is around the American flag in the courtroom? You are under admiralty law jurisdiction. We need the fully informed jury amendment and juries must use their powers of Jury Nullification to overcome oppressive government. Patriots unite! |

Wrong. 2. Wrong President too. Despite what you Bush-haters may believe, U.S. history did not begin in the year 2000. Never heard of enemy combatant have you Dave... Let's hope US history doesn't end in 2008. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

On most clients, if you just highlight ONLY the part, as I've done here tongue-in-cheek, before you hit the reply button, the client will only put the statements you need, not the whole thread, into your reply.....making it MUCH easier reading! Really? Wow... thanks for the new info! -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

Bush did not make any new laws, he only changed policy. Bzzzt. Wrong. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/02/20040226-11.html I stand corrected. Thanks for the link. Bush has got to be one of the worst presidents ever. Along with destroying the republican party he has taken america along with it. The repurcussions of his presidency will go on for a decade or more. The next president will inherit a total mess. Thanks for pointing out the loss of our freedoms, hopefully we can elect those whose primary goal is to restore them. |
