I already said that...

You've been reading Marx again...

He's a socialist, Katy. I think he's got copies of Karl Marx's works in
his guest bathroom with a small sign taped on the wall above them:
"Please help yourself to a copy and read it thoroughly and repeatedly.
And believe."

Max

And, you're full of it if you really believe that. Anyone disagrees with
right-wing nuts is immediately labeled either a communist or anti-patriotic
or something like that. It's actually pretty pathetic.

It took over 50 posts before the label came out...that's not immediate...

Funding *their* lifestyle--that of the leaders of organizations dependent
upon your devotion and your donations.

He thinks Hil and Bill live in a shack and drive a Yugo becasue of their
great altruism...

Guess you didn't hear Bill say that he didn't need yet another tax break. I
don't hear Cheney saying that.

How generous of him...he's probably maxed out...

Nobody will ever be able to prove conclusively that what we ar edoing
to the
environment is causing climate changes and if there is a significant
event we
will never be able to prove conclusively that it was our fault but we
have a
lot of really good evidence that the pollutants we are putting into the
air
are causing global changes.

It's pretty easy to prove cause and effect as far as humans mowing down
tropical
rainforests causing changes in weather patterns. CWM

That's an entirely different discussion than the CO2 and global warming
discussion...

Actually, it isn't.

Actually, it is....

How so? We're polluting our environment by cutting down the forest and by
burning the vegatation. That produces greenhouse gasses, which contributes
to the global warming. In addition, the lack of trees reduces the possible
absorbtion of those very gasses.

Look it up if you're not too scared.

It contributes to weather change, mostly precipitation...and is the most
easily solvable environmental problem out there...

Incorrect. If you knew anything about tropical rainforests, you would know why.

CWM

I do know about tropical rainforests and it is a much simpler task to
fix than the endless legislation and policing it takes to make sure
industry does its' part to stop polluting the environment with
chemicals...the problem is to stop slashing and burning...now...but
then, I already said that stopping that is the big problem...since the
3rd world counties that are involved care only for the moment and have
no foresight, that ain't going to happen..one can only hope they will
look at Belize and see that it can work...

This is unequivocal proof that you haven't a clue about tropical
rainforests.

CWM

In regards to growing new rainforests? Yes..in respect to keeping the
ones that exist...no....and you have no clue as to what I do or do not
know...

that makes money doing it to stop..unless you go in and kill em all or something else equally drastic...we have made
great strides in reforestation here in the US especially in Washington and Oregon, which is where out great rainforest
ecists...

I hope you noticed how they changed the subject. I asked for proof.
What did they do? Changed the subject. It's because they don't have
any proof. Just repeat a bunch of crap the rest of their type spew.
Your right about the forest clearing and burning. It's not related
to global warming any more than SUVs are. Idiots like Capt. JG and the
other nut jobs who think people actually are altering the world climate
aren't capable of looking at things except with their bias glasses on.
If people like Capt. JG were logical they'd know that it's been shown
that natural forests make more methane than people make carbon dioxide
when they cut them down and burn them. Methane's ten times worse
than carbon dioxide as a green house gas. Duh!

Cheers,
Ellen

You have even less of a clue as to what you know and don't know.

Holy Moly! give her a break already. So she doesn't know. Lot's of people don't
know. See my post up there about methane. That's probably what your talking about.
Spit it out, dude!

So far, I haven't seen much in the way of facts from you. You'll listen to big business, but not to scientists. Maybe
you think smoking doesn't cause cancer?

The pot calling the kettle black again. Your a freaking maggot worm.
I asked you for facts. I asked in the post that started this thread. What facts
did you give? Yes, that's right. You gave no facts. Zero zip nada. Duh!
Your trick of changing the subject might work with the morons in this thread
but they don't work with me.

An brain that's burned out by huge doses of LSD can see reality. Yah right!
I wish you knew how really when you say things your talking about yourself and
don't even realize it. Your warped. You think your normal. Sad.
