Who cares? Obviously not you, or you would sell your leaky sailboat and
feed the entire African continent for a year.

Donal is a liberal, and one of the prime definitions of liberals is those
who wish to institute great giveaway programs, but want someone else to pay
for them.

And, the definition of a true conservative, is someone who wants to conserve
both the Earth and the people on it for the benefit of all. You're not a
true conservative.

I don't think that's true at all Jon.....

Real Conservatives understand that if a country is so backward and stupid
that they destroy their ecosystem and overpopulate... why should someone
else be held liable for their idiocy?

All the Liberals and Charities have done with their television ads..... is
render me immune to any feelings whatsoever at the sight of starving
children.

The world is overpopulated..... let's let Mother Nature do her
work...Okay!?

That's *conservationist* or *environmentalist* or *humanitarian*, Jonny.

When you come up with the correct definition of *conservative* I'll let you
know.

JG February 17th 05 06:29 PM

Well, Maxipad, in your twisted view, I'm sure you're right.

"Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change."

Like destroying the Earth and the people on it is opposing change. Got it.

Max, I believe that everyone should pay their own way.

I'm angered by the fact that I have to subsidise people who claim that they
are unable to work. I get *very* angry when somebody gets *sick pay* when
they take a couple of days off sick with *influenza*.

But of course. You're just now facing that realization?

"Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change."

In a classical sense, perhaps, but not in the more contemporary political
reality. DSK calls us *neocons.*

Like destroying the Earth and the people on it is opposing change. Got it.

I suspect I'm a more ardent environmentalist than thou, Jon. Are you a
member of Greenpeace? How about The Sierra Club? Do you donate funds to
The Nature Conservancy? Have you ever done reforestation plantings? Have
you given talks to school-age children about saving our virgin forests, our
wildlife refuges? Have you spent personal funds fighting for cleaner air
and water? Have you participated in the crude-spill cleanups and attempted
to save affected birds and other wildlife? Have you stood in front of
bulldozers and earthmovers to prevent them from ripping up pristine natural
lands? Have you donated personal, professional services to peoples of Third
World countries, at your own expense?

I didn't think so. I've done all those things, and more.
