no it's not,

The wind had died long ago.

15 minutes is long ago?

You were sailing in
dead air for a long time with a reefed main.

look at the pic, again. look at the flag. & boat heel.

Much as I loath to admit it....Horvath is wrong. Looks like a flukey day and I
don't doubt higher winds occured and returned. If you weren't there, a pic only
tells so much...and Horvath knows so little.

You might want to read my note again DSK. I didn't say that the
whitecaps were "beginning" to form. They were there when we went out and
stayed there throughout the afternoon. (Incidentally, my copy of the
Beaufort scale indicates that crests are "beginning to break" in winds
of up to 10 knots. - You must have a different version.)

"up to 10 knots" matches pretty well with 8 - 10 does it not?
"crests beginning to break" matches pretty well with whitecaps, nyet?

Jim, you're so dumb you can only be another Bobsprit sock puppet.

... Also, I didn't
say that the motorboat wakes were "bigger" than the chop, did I?

Actually, you did, indirectly.

Incidentally, my estimate of the wind speed was also based on the
opinion of an experienced licensed pilot who was with me on that
particular trip.

WTF do pilots know about judging wind speed? They are inside, behind a
winshield. Does your Mac26XM have an enclosed cockpit?

As one reference point, we noted that very few of the boats out on that
day had deployed anything other than a reefed mainsail.

Well youse guys sure are rough tough salty sailor dudes, arrgh.

nice clean decks. You should flake or
coil your lines.

I know, but I'm lazy.

Its a matter of safety, unlazy yourself.

Sail looks to be set just fine for the conditions.

It was.

Thats what I said

By
the looks of your flag seems it blowing a bit. Looks Ok to me.

It had died some when I took the pic.

Where are you sailing?

Chesapeake Bay, known as the Finest Cruising Grounds in the World. That's
Rock Hall , where we spent the prev. night, behind us

Bull****, Ive sail the Chesapeake bay, Its like here known for muddy
water, crab traps, ect.. If you want to sail an exciting bay head to
were the gayboy sails his gay cal 20. Thats a fine clear water current
ridden fog laiden, high wind, fluky wave ridden hot spot of activity.
To bad the only person here to sail the area has such a gay little
boat. I think the real men that sail that bay just pass thru.

Did you leave Plowsville?

Got to sometimes. The one thing that's missing in Plowville is sailing
water.

Yeah right

When were the pictures taken?

6/6/04, between noon and noon thirty.

So, what the meta message that you're trying to get across is that you
are not much of a sailor, with a lousy boat. Got it. Thanks.

Still can't seem to shut me up, can you John? - It's obviously getting
to you. Of course, if you really believed that my notes were totally
vacuous and pointless, you wouldn't waste your time reading and
responding to them. You say one thing, but your actions say another.

You may have sailed the Atlantic, but your stupidity still shows.
