Don't you enjoy sailing, Robert?
I love it, but I don't dishonor the true heritage of boats by treating it like a some kind of superior experience. That's why I'm so generous with her, inviting practically anyone out for a sail. RB |

That isn't surprising. After all, no decent sailors would go out for a
half hour motorsail with a wimp who is prone to panic attacks in an F3. Its struck me when you wrote that you have hit on the current that runs through all Boobs' photos. There is a wariness, something just short of panic, in the eyes of the people on his boat, as if they are thinking "Does he really have any clue what he is doing, and how do I get out of here in one piece". There certainly is an air of tension on his boat, and not fun and relaxation. Maybe its due to the intense traffic where he sails. |

a some kind of superior experience.
True sailors have always treated sailing as a special experience. There's a big difference between "special" and "superior." Your effort to make sailing into some form of elitist activity is nothing short of horrific. Still, it's your boat. Do as you please. RB |

Sailing is not an elitist activity. _You_ are the living proof that sailing is not elitist. Nobody could call sailing "elitist" when people like you and Danny have boats. Still, it's your boat. Do as you please. True. It *is* my boat. I'm glad that you allow me to do as I please!!! Regards Donal -- |

Rapists and pedaphiles also do as they please, at least until they're caught. Enjoy your "hobby." RB |

Enjoy your "hobby." Oh dear. You've gone over the deep end again. If I do as I please on my boat, your twisted mind brings all sorts of illegal practices into play. Sad.... very sad! Don't you do as you please on your boat? Regards Donal -- |

![]() but I don't dishonor the true heritage of boats by treating it like a some kind of superior experience Sailors all through history (at least those that chose to sail and weren't impressed) have thought sailing to be a superior experience. If you equate the act of sailing to any other day-in/day-out experience, why do it? It's not like you have to. There must be something about it that is superior in your eyes or else there would be no purpose for it. -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit. http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
