Just went out and put a space heater in the camper. Haven't winterized it
yet.
This sucks.

Yes, I've noticed my pool heater has to run a little longer in the
morning before it warms up.

Very funny.

How's the housing market down there? Must be some decent deals available.
Maybe it's time to mosey south and look around a bit.

Yup winter is a bitch. I had to turn on the solars for the pool and,my
wife put a jacket in the boat.
It may go down to 68 tonight Brrrr!

Been cool here in night. 88 during the day today. Yesterday, coming back
from taking the wife to the airport at 4:30 am was not to bad. Still shorts
and tee shirt. Was up in Burney (3000') last week, and mid 30's at night.
70's during the day. Going out tomorrow I think to San Pablo Bay for some
striper fishing I think.

I was surprised to hear Centex is still building houses here and they
won't build a house without a qualified buyer so something must be
moving.
There is a little 1300 sq/ft shack around the corner from me that is
going back to the bank at $490k. I imagine it will disappear in a
heartbeat at the $359 Zillow says it is worth tho (riverfront)http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/bi...522146_zpid#st...
(The house on the left, not the one with the big palm tree)
Personally I think it is a teardown on a $200,000 lot. If I thought
they would take $250k as is I would buy it and give it a paint job.

Yup, and we have been approved for over 16,000 worth of credit in the
last month for recreational vehicles. Aside from our low income, our
credit is pretty damn good though... But the fact is, money is out
there, being lent, despite all the bs on the news...

Yes, there are some very decent deals available, especially for people
who can move quickly with little or no financing required.

Are you able to dock your boat behind the house? Someday I'll have to
try and venture up in there with my dinghy. Talk about local
knowledge navigation !

What do you do to get your imaginary Zimmerman like lobster boat ready
for winter?

It is up on blocks in his office, it is a 1/12 scale model.

His wife's office maybe, he's unemployable so he rides on her coat
tails.

TV weatherman predicts 0 C tonight.
http://www.cbc.ca/ns/weather/index.h...Z&style=nsFull
Guess it's time to winterize the outboard.

Good thing it never gets 0C here. My plumbing would freeze.

Coconuts too!
