Yes, I've had a few adventures with that when single handing the boat.
My favorite evolving strategy is to attach a long line at the bow and
run it aft; pick up the mooring either aft or mid-ships; run the bow
line through the mooring pennant and cleat it off. After the boat
settles back into the wind you can shorten up the bow line.

The boat we have now has a pass-through that you can lower, allowing passage
from the bridge to the forward deck.
In normal weather conditions, it would be fine, but if it's blowing and
rough it might be a bit difficult. The inflatable sits on the forward deck
cradle also, so I'd have to work my way around it.

Think I'll stay in the slip.

Reverend Jesse?

Did you ever look up 'ol Jesse's credentials and education?
Basically flunked out or dropped out of everything, including divinity
school.

His "ordination" as a Reverend has about the same veracity as the one I
bought on the Internet. *Mine might even be better because I bought the
"deluxe" package.

Rev. Eisboch

Not counting the times he was consoling Bubba bill on a BJ gone bad,
wile at the same time having a muffin in the girl friends oven.

BTW, Rev. Eisboch. I do have the real certficate.

I thought you approved of the job he was doing at boaters forum. I
think you said it was nice that someone was finally actually moderating
that group. What happened? He used his judgment as to what was
appropriate. Anytime that happens not everyone is going to agree with
him, but that is the way it goes.

Since you like the moderators at The Hull Truth and the Parker Forum why
don't you actually make some posts over there. Really you very rarely
use either forum. In rec.boats, you make more posts before breakfast,
than you have made ever made in the other forums. Why is that?

Good question.

Gosh. I still haven't filtered you out here on Gene's World, Herring.

For the record, I believe Chuck started his discussion board with the
best of intentions, and put a lot of work into it, and then it got
slimed by you, Reggie, and the rest of the non-boaters with your
complaints, whines, and insults about everyone else's boating activities.

You can tell by the post count at Chuck's message board these days that
Tom is doing about as good a job of moderator there as Brownie did
handling the New Orleans mess. Whatever his talents are, moderating
ain't among them.

I post quite a bit on The Hull Truth. I usually but not always use a
nickname there (and on other forums) I was given a long, long time ago
by one of my best friends from my old "newspapering" days.

Gee, I had no idea Reggie spent his days stalking me. I do have a carry
permit...perhaps I should take advantage of it, eh?

Ahhhh, so you don't use your own name, and hide behind an old handle
someone gave you many years ago. Sounds very cowardly of you.

I'd be more impressed with him if he had spent time sufficient with
his children to teach them about birth control.
Of course.
Good grief. You are becoming more annoying than a bunch of

What's next..photos of your trip over to Safeway?

Harry gets ****ed because he knows I actually took the pictures. I didn't
see any owls down by the creek though.

And, he's got me filtered.

You do know he reads every post, right?

My comment was in jest.

Every comment you make is in jest. It's your job, as the court fool.

I think he has a point there, Harry. You call folks 'bovine-ardly
pussies' for using nicknames, yet you do so. Wouldn't that be somewhat
hypocritical?

I assume by 'Brownie' you're referring to Nagin. Not very politic of
you, somewhat racist, but the result on New Orleans is right on the
mark. Your buddies down there have 'foched it up' royally.
