Obama not experienced enough?

" Yep - that about sums it up - empty suit. As opposed to what, a wrinkled old suit who can't remember anything, and whose idea of an idea is to do what G.W. Bush did? Obama has peaked. He's old news now and his act is well understood and boring. He could always get a job selling tire inflation meters. I think the most interesting thing of note recently in the news was Hillary's request, it could have been a plea, to not be nominated at the convention in Denver. Do you thing she sees the writing on the wall? Better to let Obama go down in flames all by himself rather than be a party to the whole mess? Oh no - she's got something up her sleeve. I'm convinced of it. You could be right though - she sees how empty Obama is and knows she's back in play for 2012 - sets her up as the leader of the party if Obama falls flat on his face - which is looking more and more likely. |

I remember when you thought McCain was a class act, a very smart public servant and a true statesman, but you predicted that McCain would never get the nomination because he was too moderate. I really thought Obama would win in Oct, but since you feel so strongly that he will walk away with this election, i am having doubts. I don't believe you have EVER made a correct political prediction. The most recent one was the Billary would walk away with the Dem's nomination. |

Perhaps, but I suspect it's more to do with saving face in her head, knowing full well that Obama would never pick her anyway. In hindsight, the Dems probably made a big mistake. They *should* have selected Hillary in the primary process. She probably would beat McCain, hands down in the general election. Obama is losing ground fast. I was initially intrigued by him and tried to listen carefully to what he had to offer. My primary interest was that I felt we needed to elect a POTUS who had the best chance of being respected throughout the rest of the world and could repair our tarnished image. I would be willing to compromise on some issues that I would disagree with in order to accomplish this. But, now as the campaigns continue to the wire, he has lost support rapidly among many of us Independents. Also Democrats if Rasmussen and Gallup are to be believed. Even in Massachuetts. Kind of reminds me of what happened to Ned Lamont in CT. |

He's making a lot of mistakes and mis-statements lately. Getting prematurely gray too. Soon, you won't see much difference between him and McCain. There is one huge difference - 23 years as a Senator for McCain - 143 days as a participating Senator for Obama. Senator is a genuine War Hero. Wow. A genuine War Hero. Which, in terms of being POTUS, means...nothing. |

Eisboch As someeone who really thought Obama had the general election in the bag, and McCain was going down in flames, I have noticed the same thing. To me the "Big Mo" is in the favor of McCain. |

Look, it's this simple - McCain has at least done something as a Senator including challenging his own party and is genuine in his belief that we can solve problems in a bi-partisian manner - I respect that. *And frankly, I have a personal reason for supporting McCain which I will not go into here now, but it was intense, scary and incredible at the same time (think MIA). *I saw him in action as a representative of our government and it was impressive. I cannot fit Obama into that same space and accomplishing the same - completing the mission so to speak - *sorry. It's as simple as that.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - And he voted against several energy policies, too. |
