Did you know that crab shells (or most crutaceans) being chitlin, a naturally occurring long chain polymer, are used to keep fruits and vegetable fresher? Or that this same material is also ued to keep meats fresher? By golly, I learn something new every day. No, I didn't know that. Damned spell checker - chitin, not chitlin. ~~ mutter ~~ It's a pretty cool deal actually. I'm not exactly sure of the process, but being a long chain polymer it's also used in biodegradable surgical thread. Pretty cool. I use a minecrawler armor (it's a huge deadly crab-like creature) for arrow and weapon protection all the time. Not as good as magic ore armor, but beats the snot out of leather. Gothic II. Somebody mentioned glucosimine. I was taking that for painful knees, but it didn't work. Had x-rays and MRI, and they couldn't figure anything out except they recommended physical therapy. So I'm playing one of my games, calves resting up on the desk, knees suspended in the air, and the wife brings me some coffee. "Get your damn legs off the desk!" she yells. "That's why your knees hurt." Next day she bought me an ottoman for the computer chair. I did what she said, and my knee problems disappeared. God I love that woman. --Vic --Vic |

Odd as it is, strapping on the seat belt and taking a short spin in my car used to clear up some lower back pain I had. You might take a spin on the bike you want and show some kind of physical improvement, making a big deal about it of course. Worth a try. --Vic |
