but it didn't work.
Had x-rays and MRI, and they couldn't figure anything out except they
recommended physical therapy.
So I'm playing one of my games, calves resting up on the desk, knees
suspended in the air, and the wife brings me some coffee.
"Get your damn legs off the desk!" she yells. "That's why your knees
hurt." Next day she bought me an ottoman for the computer chair.
I did what she said, and my knee problems disappeared.
God I love that woman.

You might work that out. Odd as it is, strapping on the seat belt and
taking a short spin in my car used to clear up some lower back pain I
had. You might take a spin on the bike you want and show some kind
of physical improvement, making a big deal about it of course.

On the one hand you complain that the implication your son is doing some

Not only did i not degrade blue collar workers, I praised them. I think
JimH is ashamed of his son's work and that set it off, sort of like
Harry is ashamed of his wife being a social worker. Both of them are
very valuable jobs that our society needs. They both need to get over
it, and realize that their loved ones found their calling. I would
NEVER have suggested my son become a college professor, I actually tried
subtly to suggest other options he might enjoy, but I DID TELL him to
figure out what he enjoyed and follow that course. I believed if he was
doing what he enjoyed, he was going to be a success and live a happy life.

While college professor is not my choice of careers for my son, I am
proud that he set his objectives high, took every AP course available in
high school, got into Ivy League school and now has a 7 year fellowship
for his PhD.

JimH and Harry need to do the same thing, and be proud of their son and
wife's chosen professions.

sophmore year of college. She went to Univ. of Mass, and they meet at a
conference at Columbia. It was what made him move to Boston after
graduation. She is a beautiful combination of English and Pakistani
heritage. She looks like she could be an actress in a Bollywood Movie,
she is stunning and smart. The only reason they are not traveling to
Pakistan, some people might take offense with her traveling with a
American. She does not have a Dr. Dr. degree, but she is going to take
some time off to pay off her student loans before she goes back for her
post graduate work.

As i said, I am proud of my son, you and JimH should be half as proud of
your family as I am of mine. Blue colar workers and social workers are
needed and if they enjoy themselves, that is the most important thing.
