Is not the fools in the country, is the fact that the automotive
industry
is
controlled by a very small group of people. And most are children of
the
founders. Lots of stock and no ability, still gets them on the Board of
Directors.


Couple that with a union that forces companies to pay people
$65,000-$70,000 a year to do virtually nothing....

That was an eye opener when I first saw it on some news show. Might've
been
a Ford shop where a bunch of people were sitting around watching TV &
reading, waiting for someone on the assembly line to call in sick or some
such nonsense.

Even worse - they get full benefits until they find a job comparable
to what they were doing when they were laid off.

It's astounding what the UAW has done to this country and when the
definitive history of the Labor Movement is finally written, the UAW
will be high on the list of causes of economic collapse of the auto
industry.
