Couple that with a union that forces companies to pay people
$65,000-$70,000 a year to do virtually nothing and you can see why
the
auto industry has either moved to "right to work states" or simply
given up its market share to the Asians.
Many of my winter neighbors are from Michigan. One of them does a
really funny imitation of someone running an air powered screw gun on
an assembly line while claiming to be highly skilled labor.

It's really charming when well-off SOBs make fun of guys who have to
work
crap jobs to make ends meet. It's one of your more endearing qualities,
Dwayne.
Nobody is forced to work a crap job. Each and everyone who works one of
those crap jobs has applied for it or responded in the affirmative when
offered the job. They only have themselves to blame. Personal
responsibility is bitch aint she.

What's a bitch is going through life without the ability to see things
through the eyes of people less fortunate than you. Normally, you learn
that
from your parents. Yours must've been pigs.

Calling someone's parents 'pigs' is right up your alley, right Harry?

Hey, Steve, did you ask "who needs jobs" ???

I just want to be sure. Those were YOUR words, right?

So called "Americans" certainly behave to indicate that.

Another thought.......you'll be in better standing with a Toyota when the
U.S. become a thoroughly 3rd world sort-of-a-country.

If that happens, no one will be more to blame than the US automobile
industry with their consumer be damned attitude. After two or three
serious wake up calls you'd think that the message would have gotten
across but it obviously hasn't happened. Detroit won't change until
the last fool in the country finally dies.

The blame lies with 1) the consumer, who is brain dead regarding economic
issues, 2) predation by the US Government with respect to trade agreements,
and 3) the automotive companies for failing to perform in the same manner as
the Asian automakers. The US automotive companies need to get out of the
US, ship raw materials, components, machine tools and capital equipment from
lower cost counties, and assemble the pieces in KY, AL, etc. like the Asian
brands.

Who needs a middle class anyway? What the US automotive manufacturers
produce are what the market demands - every company does that, without
exception. What the US manufacturers CANNOT do is produce miniscule
scooters and sell them for $10,000.00, for the reasons explained in #3
above.

Why do you think nothing is being done to stop the illegal alien flow

The transition is nearly complete - the majority consists of third world
invaders and high school dropout red necks (the less fortunate??
Hahahhahahaha) driving repo-targeted rice burners to Walmart to drag home
extremely overpriced Red Chinese merchandise while bitching about their pay!

The end is less than 8-10 years away for the US. May it rest in peace.

It's astounding what the UAW has done to this country and when the

To be accurate, the fault is shared 3-ways - union, the auto companies for
giving in, and the NLRB which is populated with ex-union stooges.

Quite a few, actually. The resemblance with Detroit, Atlanta, New York,
Norfolk, Chicago, Los Angeles and a thousand other U.S. cities is alarming.
