Tried a 2500 Silverado Diesel - not happy with it - wasn't comfortable, didn't like the seat belt set up and I didn't like the interior design. Towed ok. Tried a Dodge Ram 2500 Quad cab - 5.7 Hemi sucks. Tried a GMC 2500 Sierra - eh - fancy Silverado and I had the same complaints. Tried a Toyota Tundra just for yucks. You will not believe what I ended up buying pending the resolution of the F-150 issue. What a piece of ****! That's an impressive demonstration. Obviously done by the Ford folks, but damn .... over 3 inches of frame deflection on the Toyota versus under an inch on the Ford for the given load. 3 inches seems like a lot of dynamic flex on metal of that length over time, even though I am sure both frames are hardened. Probably not anywhere near it's yield, but thoughts of longer term metal fatigue start to come to mind. Eisboch |

Eisboch The Ford will have less opportunities to flex, since it'll spend less time in motion, as it waits for various engineering pranks to be fixed. |

Go for the rice burner anyway, who needs jobs?? President Hillary will furnish most needs, and younger generations can make 6 bucks an hour at Walmart for playthings and incidentals. If that happens, no one will be more to blame than the US automobile industry with their consumer be damned attitude. After two or three serious wake up calls you'd think that the message would have gotten across but it obviously hasn't happened. Detroit won't change until the last fool in the country finally dies. |

Our area is overrun! The NAU has already started repopulating the country for the transition..... Ah, I see Gold is opening with a VERTICAL climb to $842.70/oz already this morning....You lost your ass, again, if you hold dollars. I predict once the public finds dollars totally worthless, they'll agree to the wonderful new ELECTRONIC AMERO from the new NAU secret central bankers. Won't that be wonderful? No cash, just credits accessible by your Verichip in your neck, tagged like an animal. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/te...4-10-13-human- microchips_x.htm No chip? No bank account, no money, no drivers license, no government benefits, no access to anything, including every store which will all be forced to use it to get paid for what YOU want to buy! The driver's license office will implant them, negating the need to issue you a driver's license. Every cop will have a scanner pointed at your car BEFORE he stops you, downloading everything you ever did....everything you ever had....everything you have now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiLixwNkur8 Tommy Thompson has his implanted...and now works for Verichip! Is not the fools in the country, is the fact that the automotive industry is controlled by a very small group of people. And most are children of the founders. Lots of stock and no ability, still gets them on the Board of Directors. |

After two or three serious wake up calls you'd think that the message would have gotten across but it obviously hasn't happened. Detroit won't change until the last fool in the country finally dies. The blame lies with 1) the consumer, who is brain dead regarding economic issues, 2) predation by the US Government with respect to trade agreements, and 3) the automotive companies for failing to perform in the same manner as the Asian automakers. The US automotive companies need to get out of the US, ship raw materials, components, machine tools and capital equipment from lower cost counties, and assemble the pieces in KY, AL, etc. like the Asian brands. Who needs a middle class anyway? What the US automotive manufacturers produce are what the market demands - every company does that, without exception. What the US manufacturers CANNOT do is produce miniscule scooters and sell them for $10,000.00, for the reasons explained in #3 above. |
