Only if it has spark plugs, and has to be rebuilt every 700 hours. :-) Good one. I wonder at times why there are not more small diesel placed in small fishing boats. When traveling in Europe, lots of small diesel cars. 1.5L size engines. These should make good fishing boat engines. I know Mercruiser uses a Cummings 1.7L in some of their packages. e.g. 28' Procat.
