Sailors often put odd bits of rigging in funny places on their boats.
Matter of individual taste!

Thanks again Doug - you've been extremely helpful and I'm grateful for
your expertise.

In my case "expertise" is just the sticky residue of 4 decades (plus a
little change) monkeying around with sailboats when I could have been
doing something productive.

Funny you should mention odd bits of rigging - I keep finding more and
more "stuff" as I get into this.

Hopefully, I'll get the rigging set up by the end of the week in a
test run, then maybe sail the boat next week for a couple of days.

Cool... waiting to hear an on-water report!

Here's hoping.

Thanks again for your help.

You're welcome. And thanks for the pics, they're interesting and also
help clearly explain what you're trying to deal with.

My question is, how many of your motorboating friends are jabbing you
for going over to the dark side?

Fresh Breezes- Doug King
