Ok, I looked the situation over and here's what I've come up with for
raising the mast. A combination gin pole/A frame.
1 - Construct a gin pole, say collapsible, 15 feet high to attach to
the stern.
2 - Use the trailer post as an anchor for the A-frame winch.

3 - The remaining problem is remaining - where to secure the A-frame
to the boat for raising the mast.

Any ideas?
And, as long as I have you here, what the hell is this curly thingie
whatchacallit on the boom? This is there is attaches to the mast.

Any idea what this block at the top of the mast is for?

My mast head has two shackles...
The larger is attached to the main halyard, and the smaller one attached
to a block that the topping lift is fed through.
