Does tend to make one wonder...

He took pictures of the boat, he sent Gould the Bill of Sale so Gould could verify he owned the boat, he has made $1000 bets to prove his ownership, and the list goes on and on. Yet, when he was looking for someone to be his "buddy", he kept the Lobster Boat hidden from you, and only offered you a ride on his Parker. You would have thought he would have jumped on the chance to have his new friend tell everyone he not only saw the Parker but the 36' Lobster Boat. "PocoLoco" wrote in message .. . In rec.boats, he thanked Harry, but said he was not able to go for a ride in the Parker, due to other plans. He did not throw it back in Harry's face. It was a year after the invite, that Harry suddenly decided it was for a ride on his infamous Lobster Boat. Harry publishes numerous pictures of his Parker. Yet no pictures of his Lobster Boat, and no one except a person who uses Harry's computer has ever seen the boat. Harry turns down easy bets to show proof of ownership of the Lobster Boat. If you want to believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus it is not big deal, but when Harry offered John a ride in his Parker, John did not throw it in his face. "Don White" wrote in message ... The big wind season is just starting here. Anyone who calls himself a sailor has been waiting for this. The 'skipper' that I crewed with in years past called. He's all excited about getting back into a 36 footer. yesterday he picked me up in his new Mercedes 4 seater convertible to go look at a boat in a club across the harbour. I tried to convince him to look at something a bit smaller with a big cockpit because of his need to invite too many people along to wine & dine on our sails. He's spending too much time stateside selling clothing. It's always...'gotta go bigger' mentality where the true Maritimer would scheme to get the most use/enjoyment out of the least expense. Harry says he's got a 36'er. Have you ever been out in it? If I was invited, and I could make it, I sure as heck would go. I couldn't imagine receiving an invite and throwing it back into the inviter's face. That's not the way we operate here in the 'Maritimes'. Good memory. Harry has twisted the account to make it seem as though I threw it back in his face right off the bat. After seeing his tripe here, I have since said that I don't think I could stand to be within 25' of him for a whole day. At that time, I didn't know his 25' Parker was actually about 35' long. That extra 10 feet could make a big difference, since I'm getting pretty close to deaf anyway! -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
