How many 225 four-strokes are sold in a year? Out of that 320,000, the news release stated that around 40% are sold in the US, so that would be around 128,000 units of all ratings from 2hp to 300hp. The 200-225 would be a small percentage of that. So the company has to apply a huge R&D cost on that new four-stroke to maybe only 20,000 engines per year? No wonder they're so expensive. |
