They are! That's why I've refrained from throwing personal insults your way. It would be nice if
you'd try reciprocating!

Johnny has a new doggie, apparently. Hope he doesn't turn it into
another Angry Old White Guy Conservatrasher.

I feel for that poor animal...being subjected to long boring hours in Johnnys' camper with bouts of hillbilly hoedown music thrown in.
Darn shame!

Don, this is a Redbone, a coonhound. It was born a 'hillbilly', if you insist on that expression.
Bluegrass music and 'coon hunting are in its blood!

The nice thing about campgrounds, most of them anyway, is that there are usually trails in the woods
just made for walking a dog. If and when you ever get your RV, and if you go to a campground in it,
you'll see what I mean. Check out Shubie Park Campground. Plenty of hiking opportunities.

I hope when Herring's new dog bites Herring or Herring bites the dog,
the dog doesn't get rabies.

I may as well camp in my back yard as go to Shubie Campground. Too close to home.
Better to go up to the Inverness area of Cape Breton just below the Cabot Trail.
Speaking of trails...they had to close the Skyline Trail (on the Cabot Trail) this week. Seems the Moose were getting a bit rambunctious.

Were the moose being forced to listen to bluegrass twangers?

No surprise you and your fellow Trumpsters are ignoring what the
climate scientists are saying. Oh, wait...because of your high
schoolÂ* diploma, coast guard training, career as an IBM whatever you
did, and local building inspector, you know more than they do. I get
it.Â* And, of course, there is yourÂ* undeniable expertise on mental
illnesses.

I don't think anyone questions climate change.Â* It has changed many,
many times since the birth of planet Earth.

The question is how much have we contributed to the current cycle of
global warming.Â* The bigger question is what makes some thinkÂ* we can do
anything about it.

The overwhelming majority of scientists who know about climate change
say we can slow down global warming, if not reverse it. Slowing it down
is important.

I agree there are plenty of climate scientists why think man is
contributing to global warming. The number who actually believe we can
do anything about it seems to track the grants they get from
alternative energy companies and politicians. They like working on
plans but nobody seems to have a plan about how we will get the
Chinese to stop burning coal or how we stop people from clearing
virgin forests and grasslands for agriculture.
It certainly is not that Al Gore carbon credit scam.

Right, because there's nothing we can do about it, so let's not do
anything. Pretty much your answer for anything and everything.

Your answer is the standard knee jerk "look like we are doing
something at great expense even if it has no effect at all". I only
have to point to the other socialist "wars", like the war on poverty
or the war on drugs. Spent hundreds of billions to make things worse.

I agree but it's probably a step in the right direction. If nothing
else, it helps change our mindset and nudges technology along in the
right direction. Look at what's happening with electric cars. In
less than 10 years they have advanced from geek toys to very
respectable vehicles that will blow the doors off a 'vette at the drag
strip.

If you are getting the electricity from a coal fired plant, you
haven't gained anything. The gain is even questionable with gas fired
plants. For the most part, the economic viability is back loaded on
the tax payer in a fairly regressive manner. They have moved from
being souped up golf carts for geeks to rich people's toys with the
subsidies being paid by people who can't afford one. Solar power is
much the same.
People rich enough to put $40,000-50,000 on their roof get subsidized
by those who aren't.

So, let's not do anything. Got it.

Do you have solar on your roof or drive an electric car? What exactly
are you "doing" except trolling on the internet?
Bill is doing far more than you and you only give him ridicule.
(I also have collectors on my roof)

True, but no hiking trails in your back yard. Shubie was simply an example. I'm sure there are many
parks in your neck of the woods with hiking trails.

Don't take your dog for a walk on Skyline Trail.
