Wife was working on me to trade in our Bayliner for a VR4...a full 18 feet long and wider. Comes with either a 200hp I/O or a 115 hp Mercury outboard. have to admit the 175BR squats a bit in the water with passengers in the rear jump seats and it's a bit more effort to get it up on plane compared to when there is only the two of us and our Springer Spaniel. Everyone told you that boat was underpowered. 135 hp for a 17.5 foot boat?? Not likely. We just need a bigger boat with more hp if we plan on carrying guests on a regular basis. And everyone suggested the next size up. You whined that it was too wide for your driveway. Remember? It was and still is...maybe I need a wider driveway. |

On my little pink insurance slip it's referred to as a 2013 Toyota Truck. Maybe it doesn't fit the 'merican criteria for a big road hog belching gas or diesel fumes but it's rated as a truck. |

Well, can't say you weren't well advised. He won't admit it. Harry, the Bayliner hater, kept quiet on that purchase. You would think he would have helped his only friend. Yup. Harry turned the advice into a 'personal attack' on Donnie. I suppose Donnie now thinks he can get a wider boat in his driveway. Funny how Fat Harry, who was the biggest Bay-liner basher, went quiet when Donnie said he was buying one of those beginner boats. A real friend wouldn't clam up when his buddy was about to make a big mistake. -- x |

Man, y'all sure have short memories. I reported that I had traded for the Bayliner 175BR AFTER the deal was done. I signed the papers right at the 2016 Halifax Boat Show but didn't pickup my new boat until that June. All your great advice was after the fact. Did Fat Harry know beforehand that you were about to do something stupid? A yes or no answer will suffice. -- x |
