Well, I do have 43700 kilometers on the odometer (roughly 27000 miles) and it will be 5 years old at the end of next month. Plus I like the new dash much better. Decisions...decisions. Wife was working on me to trade in our Bayliner for a VR4...a full 18 feet long and wider. Comes with either a 200hp I/O or a 115 hp Mercury outboard. have to admit the 175BR squats a bit in the water with passengers in the rear jump seats and it's a bit more effort to get it up on plane compared to when there is only the two of us and our Springer Spaniel. Well, can't say you weren't well advised. He won't admit it. Harry, the Bayliner hater, kept quiet on that purchase. You would think he would have helped his only friend. Yup. Harry turned the advice into a 'personal attack' on Donnie. I suppose Donnie now thinks he can get a wider boat in his driveway. Funny how Fat Harry, who was the biggest Bay-liner basher, went quiet when Donnie said he was buying one of those beginner boats. A real friend wouldn't clam up when his buddy was about to make a big mistake. Dumb Don now alleges that the purchase was made prior to any posts here. Some salesperson saw him coming a mile away - again. Horse****. He's taking after his big buddy. |

Everyone told you that boat was underpowered. 135 hp for a 17.5 foot boat?? Not likely. We just need a bigger boat with more hp if we plan on carrying guests on a regular basis. And everyone suggested the next size up. You whined that it was too wide for your driveway. Remember? It was and still is...maybe I need a wider driveway. I looked on ebay for a driveway widener. Not a single one for sale. I guess you are **** out of luck. He needs a 'truck' driveway. |

When we had the driveway paved almost 2 years ago, they brought in what they called a "full sized paving machine". Had to keep insisting that they not go over onto the neighbour's property. I had marked the property line as close to the inch as I could. The little guiding side wings did let a little asphalt spill over. |

The machine was working at it's minimal width of about 10' 7"..which is the width from my foundation wall to the property line. Since I need about a foot to make sure I don't scrape the boat on my house side...that would give me a little over a foot and a half to get past my boat with the lawnmower, wheelbarrow, ladders etc. without scratching my boat or climbing up over the neighbour's garden boxes. |

If you can't widen your driveway, why bring up the need to widen your driveway. If you can't buy a bigger boat 'cause your driveway's too small, why talk of buying a bigger boat? BTW, as long as you've got a couple inches, you should be able to back that boat in. If I can back that 33' trailer into a bay to get new tires, you can surely back that boat into a 9' driveway. |

You were well advised about the boat. He's been calling his crossover suvs " TRUCKS" ever since he got his widdle Rav 4. LOL Trucks have a cargo bed, or a flatbed. Not a station wagon. |
