Pretty much how it's supposed to work here.

I tend to agree with Harry that we may have tipped the other way too
far. When Democrats have to go to prayer breakfasts to get elected, we
may be letting the church run our life a tad too much and they have
destroyed the GOP.
On the other hand the Harry's of the world are pressing too hard not
to ever see any sign of the religions too.

When there is enough politically correct pressure that Starbucks can't
put a santa clause on a coffee cup, we have lost our way

I have no objections to reasonable religious practices "practiced" in
churches, homes, religious schools, et cetera, or even the occasional
"let us pray" nonsense that creeps into the non-church environment. My
objection to religion is when its proponents push it into the public
sector, when it attempts to pass laws that restrict those who believe
differently, when it insinuates itself into public schools, et cetera.

Unless it's Islam, correct? Then the pushing, beheading, raping, killing, and other
public 'practices' are OK, eh Krause?
--

Those would be the practices the Muslims learned from Christians, right,
Johnnycakes? Because, as we all know, Christians engaged in these
practices before there was a Muslim religion and after the Muslim
religion came about. You know the old Christian battle cry, right? The
one that goes "Convert or die"?

My primary concern about the evils of religious-osity is how it is
practiced in *this* country. In this country, it is mostly Christian
extremists who push their superstitious and ignorant beliefs onto the
public outside of churches, homes, religious schools, et cetera.

Oh, and it wasn't a news article...it
was a screed from a "convert" to Christianity. Remember reading about
the good old days, when Christianity forced non-believers to convert or
die?

No

Oh, so you are ignorant of those "Christian practices," too. Well, there

The only things he could prove are that he neglects to pay his taxes and
other financial obligations. Those are a matter of public record. He
can't even prove that he's married to the lovely Ms Grear, or that he
has any financial interest in her home. Harry is a leech, liar, and
layabout. Why do you bother to engage him?

I looked all through the archives of the Christian Science Monitor and
couldn't find any references to your plenty of made up examples. ;-)
Perhaps you could cite some legitimate and substantiated examples.
