He finally wised up and took the advice of one of the more practical members in here and got both a haircut and a job. I imagine his new life is quite a shock from his old 'Peter Pan' ways. Hope he can stay on the straight and narrow.



You'd think FlaJim would care enough about his little buddy to contact
Snotty to find out. I don't know where he was working but he never
impressed me as the sort of fellow who could hang onto a job long-term.

My obscure point was that the Paris terrorist were likely armed and
supplied through the ISIS network. At least one had a Syrian passport.
Don't think these guys were totally "lone wolves".


I suppose we will find out more about exactly who these guys were in
time. Their path into the Eurozone might give us a clue about where
the guns came from or if they were already staged in France before
they got there.

We have people from all over here but nothing like West Palm Beach

Our part of Maryland is slowly progressing from near-redneck to
near-civilized. We have four or five very good locally owned restaurants
in the immediate area, a couple of decent chain restaurants, and the
usually ****ty McDonald's class of restaurants.
Chipotle is supposed to open soon.

If we need to do serious shopping, we go up to Annapolis.

The upside is that it is quiet here, relatively low crime rate, low
population density, and cows, goats, and horsies nearby.


That is sort of like what Clinton was like 35-40 years ago.
Waldorf was a decaying area still reeling from the loss of the slot
machines.

Good point. Old people in The John's condition should have to undergo annual physical and mental evaluation in order to be allowed to keep firearms. This of course is for the safety of their family members and close neighbours....and finally, the general public.

have to take or provide proof of an eye test.
