Actually, I got very ****ed off when I saw the big Confederate flag flying alongside I-95 last time I came back from Richmond. Do a lot of folks in Charleston fly Confederate flags from their porches? I've not been there, but I assume you have. I've been to Charleston two or three times and no, I've not seen that traitorous flag flying from porches there. Charleston is a lovely city, with lots of interesting neighborhoods to walk around. If memory serves, "Crazy Larry" of boating newsgroup fame lives or used to live there. I actually like Savannah better, along with nearby Hilton Head. My wife has a doctoral program colleague who set up a practice some years ago in Hilton Head and Savannah - two offices - and has been trying to get her to join the practice as a partner, but my wife really likes her job up here. Maybe when she retires and my ashes are scattered on the nude beach at Malibu. -- Proud to be a Liberal. |
