I bought the silencer to attach to my AR 15/22, which already has a

Why? :)

After telling us for years that he doesn't shoot critters he wants to
make sure that no one catches him at it. Or perhaps he has a Walter
Mittyesque fantasy about becoming a covert assassin and knocking off
his enemies list one by one. Or even more likely he thinks that it
will make him a cool dude at the range.

Of course the most likely of all is that it's just another Harry tale.

So nice of you to keep us in the loop. ;-)

So nice of him to enjoy his hobby at our expense, as well as his other

[not].

And once again, Wayne, *you* are setting the snarky tone in rec.boats.

So ****ing what.. Who the **** are you to even talk about the tone here.
You are a ****ing clown, hurry up the **** and die will you? Holy
****ing ****, you talking about tone here is a joke. Anybody taking you
seriously is a ****ing retard...

A perfect example of why the "tone" in rec.boats is still crappy these
days and has nothing to do with my posts.

Have a nice evening.

I have a couple of friends who like to shoot but are overly sensitive to
the noise. Muffs and plugs don't seem to help them, but a "silenced" gun
in .22LR would be fine. I am considerate of my friends.

If you bought a decent can, it will sound like a CO2 pellet gun. I
have even seen home made suppressor that worked that well. (PVC pipe,
a little screen and bottle caps).

I've heard the model I bought...a local gunsmith has one and we were out
at a local range together. With standard or subsonic velocity ammo which
doesn't break the sound barrier out of a pistol, I heard the action of
the gun and the clink of the target gong. I've seen vids of the .22LR
rifles with silencers, and other than the cycling noises, they seem
silent at the gun end.

Unreal. Do all your shooting friends put silencers on all their
weapons?

Wow.

Congratulations.

Harry, you started that again with your anti-religion ****. Do you not
recall that? I made a comment about 'behavior' which you called a
'personal insult'.

When you call someone's behavior 'snarky', aren't you in fact making
more 'personal insults'?

Of course not, nor are we all out shooting together at the same time.
I also enjoy shooting a silenced .22LR...no need for muffs or earplugs.

All I committed to was to not personally insult other posters here,
e.g., not calling you an asshole. "Religion," "Politics," et cetera, are
simply subjects for possible discussion.

Simply pointing out "snarkiness," as it were, without adding frosting to
that cake is NOT personally insulting the snarky person. You of course
are entitled to disagree.
