i downloaded the raster charts (extension .kap), put them in the
active directory but can find a way to select the chart i want...

I just downloaded raster charts for florida which included the entire
Gulf of Mexico. Wow! They are awesome. Use up/down arrows to select the
chart scale you want and the magnifying glass to zoom in and out.
