There is a new option which is much better than SeaClear in my
opinion. It is called OpenCPN, has a better user interface, more
features, and runs on just about any platform. Did I mention that it
is free?

The latest production version is 1.3.6, the Beta version of 2.1 is not
yet ready for prime time.
Free's for me!! :)
I'll check it out - thanks.
How's the cruise going?
Cruise is going well, now on the final leg home after about 3,500
nautical miles since January. Right now we are in the Ragged
Islands, way far south in the Bahamas, not far from eastern Cuba.
We'll be heading north up through the Raggeds and Jumentos for the
next week or so, then on to the Exumas and home.
Boat and gear are holding up well after some earlier alternator issues
back in January/February. Unfortunately I still don't know for sure
the root cause but we seem to be OK as long as we're running both
engines and sharing the load.
We've now caught 7 Mahi Mahi for the trip including two big guys, too
many Barracuda to count, but no tuna yet. Any tips on trolling for
tuna? I've been using pink and white plastic squid on a wire leader
on the advice of some locals further south. Do you know a good source
for cedar plugs?
