Well, I'd say I have about 7-8000 rounds of 7.62x39, Cheap shooting.
The SKS's are crude looking, simple yet effective for what they are
but have some really neat features you don't find on about anything
else, like a chrome lined bore (fights corrosion) a bayonet that is
more than a toad sticker, it can be pressed into the ground and used
as a monopod and *they're very dependable, and danged cheap rifles *to
own shoot. *But true, they don't win the beauty prize.

I have over 3000 rd of 5.56 (223) and at least 1000 rd of 357, 44, and
45 in each caliber, and I'm not sure but I think I have about 1500 in .
303 Brit. and about 500 is 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser. I'm not sure Harry,
but I'd have to see what I've got in 30-06, .308, .30 carbine and .
243, not counting various various shotgun shells.

Crikey...You have a lot more ammo around than I have... * :)

Good grief! I thought it was only me.
I bought a 12 pack of socks from Costco in the fall and already a number of
them are in the trash with some others showing small holes in the heel area.
I blame it on the loose fitting, slip-on style duck shoes that I'm forced to
wear this time of year...if it's not snowy, it's muddy in the park.

The ones she bought were just trash - probably Chinese.
Nothing to do with her shoes. Getting hard to find good socks.
Reminds me - last year in a Florida flea market I saw a 3-pair bundle
of socks for 5 bucks. Long heavy duty winter work socks.
We were getting "Florida mementos" for the kids.
I bought them for my son who mechanics in a garage that gets cold.
Wife said "Hey, I was thinking of this keychain shaped like a gator."
I said "No, he'll love these socks." He did.
She still doesn't get it.
