Boating tips from Reggie? Surely you jest. I say, ESAD, Reggie. The sooner the better. Have a nice day, John. Harry, I am trying to get you to change your image here. You complain that everyone is picking on you, or say 'whatever' when offered decent advice. (BTW, when my younger daughter was an adolescent, 'whatever' was her favorite word, especially when she knew she was wrong!) :) Now, it's very hard to get people to treat you the way you desire when you keep telling people to die, kill themselves, drown, or any of your other suggested activities. I would like to believe you actually asked a few photographers about Reggie's advice, but I doubt it. I'm not saying you're lying, only that I have doubts. Try to be nicer. -- Salmonbait |

But in case you are interested, there is an ongoing discussion of the device in question on one of the camera discussion boards, I sent out a few emails and got back a few responses, in addition to what was posted on the board. |

Well it does look like you took my advice on Windows Vista and are going to switch over to Mac. I am glad I could be of assistance. There's no connection. I have no problems with VISTA, I simply like the MAC hardware and apps better than I like Windows apps. As far as computers go, you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. Harry, you could have said something like, "I appreciate your knowledge of computers. Thanks!" Then you'd not have to resort to name-calling and insults. It's easy! -- Salmonbait |

Boating tips from Reggie? Surely you jest. I say, ESAD, Reggie. The sooner the better. Have a nice day, John. By the way, who or what is ESAD? On the odd chance you really don't know, it means: Eat **** And Die. Got it? Harry, I am curious, why all of this anger, and hate? Is it because I am Jewish, but don't maintain a Kosher house? That seemed to be very important to you. A. There's no evidence that you are Jewish, not that it matters to me. Your saying so means nothing. The only attribute of yours I know exists for certain is your cowardice, and that is boundless. If you were a Jew, it would only be an accident of birth, and you would only be a cultural Jew because you were posting here last night and you posting here today. Someone genuinely Jewish would be observing the Sabbath, Also, and perhaps this is reverse anti-Semitism, but all of the Jews I know, and I know a lot of Jews, are very intelligent and accomplished. You don't fit into either category. B. I wouldn't care if you kept or didn't keep a Kosher house. C. You have no idea of what an "Observant Jew" is, and your soft-pedaling of the concept would just make you look like a bigger fool than you are *to* any Observant Jew. D. No, I am *not" discussing my personal religious beliefs here. I do happen to know Observant Jews, they are friends of mind, and you obviously don't know Observant Jews from a hole in the ground. Harry, what is cowardly about Reggie? -- Salmonbait |

It is the sign of a man who is afraid to state publicly how he feels about you. He needs to use childish Internet Messaging vocabulary. The etymology of ESAD as an expression has nothing to do with Internet Messaging, and in fact predates it by many decades. You cannot accuse me of being afraid to state publicly how I feel about any number of posters here. Not only that, but unlike some, I have no fear about using my real name. Harry, you are not displaying an attitude which would invite friendship. BTW, what do you find cowardly about using an alias, boater, HK, a boater, etc. -- Salmonbait |

I think you are very close to a breakthrough with Harry. I think he wants to make friends but isn't quite sure how to go about it. Also you could try to convince him that using his real name all over the world wide web is not the way to display manliness. In fact it is kind of stupid. |
