OK, OK, there is Tom. ;-) Tom is just sore because his over-the-hill idea-less pseudorightie and his dumb bimbo running mate lost big time. And right there is the reason you are despised and reviled by all who participate here. And yes - I did say all. You cannot, and are incapable of, discussing issues in a calm rational manner without getting into personal insults and outrageous statements. You can't keep up, so you resort to negativity. Ask around Harry - I've often defended you in side conversations with different participants, but sometimes when you post crap like this, it becomes very hard to do. You are nothing more than a slightly more literate slammer2. You are all venom and spite just like slammer. So, with that in mind, I'm through with you for a while. Again. I'm pulling your leg - again - Tom. An interesting fact about you is that you like to pull the legs of others, but when others do it to you, you get ****ed - fast. You also get very upset very fast when others deign to question your opinions. As evidence of the latter, I offer up your defensiveness about eTec outboards and 4/3'ds format cameras. I think McCain was badly used by the GOP. I think he is a better man than the one his campaign depicted. But I don't think he wears his age and his hard life well, and I believe they caught up to him during the campaign. My opinion on Palin, though, is the same: brainless. dangerous, ideologue and first-class ditz. |

Absolutely nothing, he has disclosed his birth certificate, and the state of Hawaii has declared it legitimate. http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/ar...ING01/81031064 Ah - my friend it may not be a legitimate certificate - by law. For the reasons stated. That's what's going to be the issue - is that certificate a legal document based, as it is, on a flawed law? Again - I think it's silly and frankly, insulting to Obama and, this may surprize you, I'm on the opposite side - this is much to do about nothing - Congress can fix this immediately. But that's the issue - can Congress make this go away. And that's were the fun of discussing this is. However, the law you mentioned the Nationality Act of 1940 isn't the one that applies. That law was superseded by the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarren Walter Act). The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, section 349 (a), provided: “From and after the effective date of this Act a person who is a national of the United States whether by birth or naturalization, shall lose his nationality by -- (1) obtaining naturalization in a foreign state upon his own application, upon an application filed in his behalf by a parent, or duly authorized agent, or through the naturalization of a parent having legal custody of such person: Provided, That *nationality shall not be lost by any person under this section* as the result of the naturalization of a parent or parents while such person is under the age of twenty-one years, or as the result of naturalization obtained on behalf of a person under twenty-one years of age by a parent, guardian, or duly authorized agent, *unless such person shall fail to enter the United States to establish a permanent residence prior to his twenty- fifth birthday*: ....” Section 355 of that Act provided that: “A person having United States nationality, who is under the age of twenty-one and whose residence is in a foreign state with or under the legal custody of a parent who hereafter loses United States nationality under section 350 or 352 of this title, shall also lose his United States nationality if such person has or acquires the nationality of such foreign state: Provided, That, in such case, *United States nationality shall not be lost as the result of loss of United States nationality by the parent unless and until the person attains the age of twenty-five years without having established his residence in the United States*.” |

What we want is a photo copy of his birth certificate. What you want is not relevant. Sure it is. I am a US citizen. Yeah? Prove it. How do we know your birth certificates were not photoshopped, and that you haven't bribed someone at the hall of records in the city where you were born? |

I have both a computer generated piece of paper and a photo copy of my birth certificate. They are not one in the same. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2...n_the_usa.html That is the computer generated one. As I said, I have one of those from the State of Washington. I also have a photo copy of my Birth Certificate from the State of Washington too that was generated in September of 1961. I want to see a photo copy of the birth certificate issued in August of 1961 for The Obama. Anyone can printout a piece of paper and put some stamps on it. But, forging a document and embossing it with a 50 year old seal takes a real professional. Don't you think you might be getting a little paranoid? Put the above two links together, and most reasonable people would conclude Obama was born in Hawaii. A birth announcement in a newspaper means nothing. A certificate of live birth can be forged. |
