Can we get back to talking about Supreme Beings - meaning of course, me. It is all about me you know. You mean, El Supremo, that bought a real P.O.S. That praises his local Ford dealership which had to work on his new S-box continually covering their parent companies ill-designed products? Actually, it's a Mercury/Lincoln dealership, but they purchase Fords for me because I've bought 20 something cars from him and his father over the years. The same Supremo who believes that Dodge and GM products are inferior? Truth hurts. That Supremo? Yes - that Supremo. ?;^ Q Um..huh? |

I have two lincolns. Not new. But my play toy is a '92 MrkVII LSC And a '95 Lincoln Town Car. My last two daily drivers have been Mer G-Marq's One is my 90 Colony Park wagon that pulls my boats. i confiss that I did swap the engine and tran. in my 89 Marq. when it had 190,000 mi on it and I got over 300, 000 on it before it finally went to the junk. I'd probably still have it but a deer took care of the front end for me. so it went to the demolition derbiers. My present colony Park wagon will probably get a new timing chain and Waterpump, before next boating season, because it has 162,000 mi on it. Probably pu a pan gasket on it too. (Not an easy job) but worth it. Hoses as well. I like Ford products. I drive Ford products, I do believe they are normally better quality over GM. I dont' have much experience with Dodge's, but if I needed a pickup truck it would have to have a 5.9 cummins. But face it. You're truck was a POS. |

"Calif Bill" wrote in message m... "Eisboch" wrote in message ... "RG" wrote in message ... One of the financial experts interviewed on CNN commented on this. He said that even if GM received the full requested government bailout ... *plus* an additional 50-75 billion that he figured will be necessary in the future, GM will still be an insolvent, bankrupt company. Which is why the debate about whether or not to allow them to fail is so absurd. The point is that they have already failed, big time. The debate now should be about how to deconstruct and see if some sort of Phoenix can rise from the ashes. Under the right circumstances, I believe such a re-birth is possible and would have a reasonable chance of success. RG I agree 100%. At first blush many people think of "saving jobs" which is nice, but not reality. Those jobs have already been doomed, bailout or no bailout, economic meltdown or no economic meltdown. Eisboch Where were the bailouts when thousands lost their jobs when World Com and Enron folded. Probably as many jobs lost as GM would suffer. We survived. Maybe they will bailout enron and Worldcom retroactively. And no one is bailing out main street's 401k. Makes me wonder who is really calling the shots at the top. This is going down like a trial where the verdict is known before it starts. The trial is nothing more than a rouse, a pony show. Face saver for the government to appear to be in the interests of the people. When in fact this has nothing to do with it. |

How do we know your birth certificates were not photoshopped, and that you haven't bribed someone at the hall of records in the city where you were born? Contact the State of Washington's Vital Records Department. Maybe you bribed them. See where this is going? D'oh. Let's meet, I'll show you a real birth certificate and a computer printout. |
