I agree !!!!

But then we'll have to put up with rampant socialism, income taxes that
match the EU (70+%), .... maybe Ill even throw my medals across the
fence on the white house lawn.

Bush2 may be an idiot but the other is just a waffle.

Agreed, but we already got rid of those guys, Rich. In about 6 months we'll
finish the job, and then it's smooth sailing to La Habana.

I gave up quite some time ago on the Republicrats, Kerry _or_ Bush, and I
would not even try to predict what an elected president would do in order to
get re-elected. No action by a candidate seeking office even raises an
eyebrow at our house.

In any case, and just getting back to sailboat cruising ever so briefly,
Cuba is definitely a place to know about, and the Treasury Department (in
the person of whoever sits in the Oval Office at the moment) is keeping us
out. From a cruising point of view, that's a real shame. Yet the policy
persists from administration to administration, just because Tio Fidel gave
the US the finger almost 45 years ago. Not one person moaned about US
yachts paying fees and going through the Panama Canal while Pizza Face
Noriega was dealing drugs.

As we say in Jersey, "Yo!"
